[Public Release!] Into the Depths - A Slay-the-Spire kind Weight Gain Theme Roguelike Deckbuilder!

  1. I will probably add back the collapse button of sidebar and optimize the ui of bar.
  2. It is a problem caused by localization. When Chinese “” are translated in English “”, it occupies the code closure “”. I will look through all other state descriptions.
  3. The reason it seems to be stiff is the narrations were supposed to be general, which means they are designed for more than one character (that will be added into game in future). Currently we are thinking about replacing them to unique flavor text. However, it would be a large project that could not be finish in 1 or 2 weeks, as it requires much more differential text.
  4. About the variety of the build, I admit that the build seems to be a bit homogenized. I would like to collect more opinions before we rebalance them.
Thanks for your attention and your valuable suggestions.

This bug was fixed in 1.0.1 and 1.1.1 version. Thanks for the report anyway.

When The creepy giftbox “Innate”, it becomes 3 Self-replicating Cakes. At least it works normally when I test its function…

trowing knife has unlimited uses making it basically an OTK and in Region 3 there is an enemy that when you try to confront hass no textbox making it so you have to restart the game

Yes it does work in that way, but what I meant is that it doesn’t come to my hand at the first turn nor second turn, so "innate"part doesn’t work for me.
Isn’t “Innate” same with one in the slay the spire?
Also Pandora’s box is not working on my end
(Maybe because I use Korean locale? I don’t know)

(Btw the game is quite immersive and the replayability is great, I really enjoyed the game)

I completed the game but I’m kinda curious I only got first achievement, how do I get the other achievements?

The game has multiple endings and achievements. The weight, money, and curses at the time of completing the game will have an impact

In the 1.1.1 version, there are several events where the text scrawls down past the bottom of the page, but there’s no option to scroll down to the button to continue, and pressing space doesn’t hit continue automatically like it does in combat. This essentially softlocks the game because you can’t continue.

I just make a bugfix version. should be able to cover all the bugs mentioned. Thank you all for testing.

Thanks for the report. I will change the condition of scroll lock.

“Innate” should be same with one in the slay the spire, did you upgrade that card? It is only Innate once upgraded.
I don’t know what is going on as Pandora’s box and the creepy gift all works normally when I test it.

I will fix that. Thanks for the report!

I dont know if this is already fixed but when you try and consume the cake boss it gives an error message and doesn’t allow you to proceed making it a soft lock

What a great game! I’m really enjoying it!

I’m compiling all my bug reports here under 1 message, editing it as I go through a run. I should mention i am on 1.0.1.

I can’t really do much to confirm if this is the cause, but i’m pretty sure the relics that grant 1 extra action every turn in a battle are also reducing the energy cost of the first card played each battle by whatever your extra action number is. My current build is: Third Umbilical Cord, Critical Dice, Paralytic Powder, Wilderness Survival Guide, Stomach of Lamia, Scale of Judgement, and Ring of Avarice. I also have curse Distorted. Maybe some weird interaction is happening between some of these causing it?

Also, Flying Dagger and the Fried Ingredients item dont consume when you use them, meaning you can kill everything to the end of the game with just Flying Dagger once you get one.

With 26 Fullness and 37 Capacity, I played a Blessing: Agility+, but it threw back the battle record text that the rune was unmoved, and only hit its base 3 times when it should have hit an extra 3 more. Overeat is supposed to trigger every 8 Fullness, but it just didnt work here.

It looks like the character inspect for weight stage 2 is bugged, throwing Error: <>: bad evaluation: missing ) after argument list.

The encounter “The Enchantress” seems to have multiple options bugged and are missing. There is also an empty text box that I can click (I have not clicked it to see what happens as with no saves I will not be able to recover this run if it softlocks)

The Chimera Goat boss’ statistics are too low from the size of the boss icon, you cannot read its health through your own hand of cards, making it impossible to track which head you need to damage to kill the boss. The curses also applied “[number NaN]” stacks and with the Addicted curse, i gained NaN fullness. (as an aside, i decided to humor myself and use Throw Up here, and the resulting NaN poison deleted all boss pieces 1 by 1 and softlocked me in the encounter, with the combat bar still showing the boss.)

I see, thank you for the information.
Also could you give me a hint for getting the ‘birthing bed’ ending?
My guess was getting pregnant curse and keep the curse till the ending, but doesn’t that curse converted lust within few turns?

I’m interested in other kinds of expansion such as the stuffing aspect of the mechanics (and apparently even pregnancy and vore), and I was wondering how much those things will be reflected in the art or flavor text, if at all.

Is it possible to make the reward pickup buttons easier to see? For multiple rooms I didn’t realize I was supposed to pick them up manually. Also, maybe it would be a good idea to have a confirmation button before proceeding to the victory screen. It is near impossible to read the flavor texts of the finishing attack because the screen proceeds automatically–this would be annoying if there are cards similar to Vore that are very likely to be the final card.

I haven’t played 1.0.2 for very long but I have not seen any bugs other than what people have already mentioned. Overall the game is quite fun!

Carrying the lust curse can trigger this ending, which is equivalent to a proof

Tried 1.0.1.
Core of the game is solid. It is reasonably well-designed and can be compared to other games in this genre.
However, the fetish part is underwhelming. So unremarkable you can easily change a few words here and there, remove it from the game completely, and this will not make any difference

Playing 1.1 and I keep coming across this error: Error: <>: exceeded configured maximum loop iterations (1000)
Anyone else having this issue/know a fix?

Thank you for your information

This game is HARD to say the least … much harder than STS mostly because of the rng involved in the rooms mixed with the speed system. Most of the best options early game are keeping yourself in and out of maximum fullness with looping cards quickly and this works really really well until you face enemies that just move 4 times before you can get your second attack in on the third level. Mixed with a lot of the statuses still being in chinese and pandora’s box just not doing what it says it does, I would say wait a bit if you are considering buying this as a game, but still … it shows promise and the dev did some great work. Overall, I’d like to see some general scaling back of some of the RNG as well as making fights just easier in general because goddamn, loading into act 2 at half HP and having to fight 3 normal enemies then an elite for a 20% heal is basically a reset.

bug: the enchantress with the donuts has some errors

Error: the passage “You” does not exist

Speed very much is an awful idea. I don’t know why in what amounts to a 1v3-at-most card game, you let the enemy gain multiple turns and no way to read what they would do during them. It completely destroys the point of having enemy intentions and blocking, you can’t make educated guesses in deckbuilding or playing the cards.

Weight decreasing attack is also a bad idea. I don’t know why you have a system to softlock you in combat as part of your design. There’s a reason Slay the Spire makes the debuffs a straightforward 25% penalty to such and not a stacking score. Again, educated guesses.

All in a game where HP is even more a painful resource to manage than in StS.

I don’t understand how you can be such a big fan of StS but learned nothing from its design.

Does anyone know how to get into the debug menu?
