Do you think it would be better to use the normal Sprite as a base or make a new one from scratch?, honestly I prefer the second option

do you have to make a new save for these, or am i doing something wrong? tried to install the player_gator only for them to not show up in my main save, but work once i installed a fresh copy of the game. made sure they were there, overlapping the originals and everything?

super quick update, i made a new save on my original copy and it worked! rpgmaker is super jank i guess? here’s a screenshot of both saves, both on spritesheet_2 and yet completely different sprites.

Nothing special here. You only replaced .png files and game load new .png files. Of course it would work on any saves, but save icon will be changed only after you make new save after replacement.

Coldsteel’s right. It should work as intended as long as you’ve replaced the spriteset it’s named as. No fresh save required.

i did make a new save after the replacement, save 1 in that screenshot was made before save 2, and the screenshot was taken with save 2 open. it refused to use the sprites on any of my existing saves, but worked fine in a new one.

That’s right. It only replaces the base sprite. There is no breast alt. If you want the set to work, it needs to be sprite set 2 with no breasts.
