Oh you can get the quest, you just can’t do anything with it. If you talk to the blacksmith in nordenhaven with the sword equipped you get the quest.

I’d say an alternate party setup is a great idea; I already have this absurd mental image of Good Sergeant Skippy quarreling with Heidi and getting hit on by Clara as the journey progresses.

Yeah, it’s pretty amusing to think that the alternative party are actually pretty effective and show good teamwork- much to the chagrin of the original trio looking on.

Yeah, it’s not the clearest of solutions, but you need to revist Azh Rabot with Pro in the party. In a couple of places such as the bazaar you’ll pick up some new details.
