That’s absolutely amazing, mate.
Only criticism is that Clara’s been stated on multiple occurances to be… ‘thicc’, but that’s just me favouring the young Inquisitor and desiring to see more of her. Seriously, great work.

Not to dwell on the point too much, but this is conflating two different issues. One being the false impression presented to the player of there being two distinct playstyle paths (“Pure” and “Glutton”) and the second being gated content - one of which the game will persistently remind you of.
Without resorting to the nuclear option of rewriting the beginning segments to do away with the decisions altogether, both of these can be fixed without the need for drastic measures. A suggestion for the former point I raised back here.
As for the latter, for the gated items maybe just make them available at a later date (the Azh Robat bazaar could be a good place to buy them). The gated scene is trickier, so if it can’t be cleverly worked in, at least removing the memory crystal won’t be a constant missing reminder to the player.
I think leaving the rewards themselves gated is fine. That adds a bit of variety to playstyles. I agree though that it would feel better if route-specific crystals were removed on the opposing route, or speaking more optimistically, perhaps the very act of failing them later on enables a replacement scene that would come to reside in the same crystal. In the glutton case, just having that one thing left uncheckable hurts the completionist in me.
Yeah, the items and abilities I’m not really bothered about compared to the locked scene. I don’t want this to sound like a whinge, like I want to have my cake and eat it too, I just find it a questionable design decision to have replayable content locked over an innocuous decision made in game. If the game is going to compel everyone playing with the relevant foreknowledge to select the “correct” choice then something doesn’t feel right there.

Drew a quick Emmie sketch a few days ago while warming up. Hope y’all enjoy!
One way I could see fixing this is expanding on the glutton “variation” of the scene, and having it so the same crystal is there, but it calls the version you took, OR it enables you to choose which path you “took”, like with the buffet one. In that, even if you’ve been pure glutton, you can pick the “I’ve been pure” option. Just extend that to this scene and any others in the future, and it should work wonders
Is there a mac version?
This is probably one of the best RPG maker fetish games I’ve played in a while! Only up to the skiing lodge and I’ve had a blast so far.
Small question though- back in the fishing town in the warehouse, after Emilia finishes with the food there, the text box said something along the lines of “learned to not put things to waste”. Is there something in the nearby area that has to do with that, like with the belch ability?
Ah no, that is just the little post that shows you got a gluttony point. All the points when you get it have a line like that. Don’t think too much on it, not a big significant change.
No, I have not made a Mac version, I am not sure how to support it.
Oh, so THAT’s what those little messages were.
So I remember downloading this around when you first put it up here on weightgaming and played it for a bit but then kinda forgot about it. I’ve recently come back around to playing it and I gotta say Some Bullshit is really something special. I love the main characters, the humor you spread throughout the game, the interesting scenarios and encounters!
And the new drawn character portraits??? And the little pop-up illustrations that appear during scenes? Plus the replay/art collection is just damn gold my friend. I’ve been playing through from the beginning since like last week or so and I just love discovering all these new pieces of art. The name of the artist escapes me but I absolutely love the work they did, adds a wonderful new element to the game. Needless to say I am pretty pumped for the next update!
He is my first player, and the first commenter on the thread! @clinko_clinko has done all the hard work in improving the beginning of the game and all thanks go to him.
I just found a softlock.
The rope bridge Clara ties during the early Jungle segment.
If you approach the post to hop on from the sides, the game breaks and you end up stuck in a wall.
Exhibit A for constantly saving and rotation between slots. Good habit to build.
I’m kinda stuck on the goblin beer marketing quest. I can’t seem to figure out where the sixth location is at. I went back to Schalehafen, did Wippsbruck of course, bierbrunnan, Nordenhaven. I know for sure I’ve done five, this last one is being really sneaky for me though.
I think this is the definitive list (though please correct me if I’m mistaken). Six beer marketing points available thus far:
Waldhirsch - drinking contest
Schalehafen - beer marketing minigame
Wippsbruck - automatically obtained through completion of skiing races
Capital - ‘Beer Delivery’ quest
Nordenhaven - ‘Find a Mixer’ quest
Rebhuhm Island - ‘Ain’t No Laws…’ quest
I don’t recall if you get one from Bierbrunnan, but I might be wrong.
I completely forgot about Waldhirsch, jeez. Thanks for that list!
And with that, I’ve cleared all of the currently available content.
Good fucking shit. Y’all did a great job.
Small list of things that hover between criticisms and gripes and general comments.
uhhhhh. yeah think that’s all for that.
There were some events I wish I could rewatch but not big enough to dedicate an entire crystal to, which is a shame (that bloatfruit scene was incredible).
GAME FUN. GIRLS CUTE (yes, even Heidi.)
Hmm, that’s the exact opposite of what I had. I haven’t had to worry about money at all during my playthrough.
same it was mainly having enough food during my journey to the emmie real father other than that i had lots of money
I assumed part of my issue stemmed from going out of my way to stock on about 5-10 of every new food item that came up.
And the Capital throws a lot of new foods at you very fast, with both the bakery and the goblin tavern having a fair number of new items.
