Wow it’s rare to hear talk of endgame development for a project! What would you have your eye set on after SB, Nerds?
Ah I mean for this chapter! For total story we only have 1 more chapter after this, and then end game content behind a “point of no return”. So think of it like two more story updates after this one. I will have some sidequest updates inbetween there as well and I am planning on putting more things in the Capital to fill out that big city.
As for what’s after SB, no idea. This game is big enough that it covered most things I wanted to see in a game of this style! Still a really long way to go.
Ah I see, cheers for the clarification!
Hi, made an account here to follow this game. It honestly amazing. At first I wasn’t expecting much as it is the first fetish game I have downloaded but damn…I agree with an earlier comment in that if the fetish material was excluded, thus would be a fun game on its own. Seriously it’s awesome. I already played 40+ hours of it and look forward to future updates.
I have encountered some issues though:
After skiing the backcountry with Pro, Emmie and Clara to complete the Thing quest line, they look like they are skiing all the time.
I have completed all the objectives for the beach BBQ but the quest isn’t marked as completed and the first two objectives show up as not completed even though the others are.
I skipped out on picking up the mystery jewel from the desert town the first time I was there with Clara and Emmie. Are we going to have another chance to get to another mystery jewel or did I just screw myself.
Other than that, I hope we get to explore more of the desert town and the surrounding desert. Could have ancient tombs, desert oasis and sand worms. Will there be more missions with the Amazons or exploring more locations in or around the island? Not sure if it’s a singular island or part of an archipelago. Will there be more expansions/side missions in the capital? I need more bro time with Josh. Also will the castle receive any expansions? Will you add more world locations? Like a swamp environment that could be a mix of Louisiana and Venice. Maybe a a mountain town under siege by an ancient dragon. Or a town built in the tree tops of a massive forest.
@Nerds, just read your last post. Sorry for any repeat questions. But as a last question, since you are closing off the story arch, would you maybe add another? It could be in a sequel game to SB if you feel like you have the time and interest. But you could base it in a premise like in some animes where once the big bad is defeated, an even bigger bad arises to take its place. Maybe there is a demon that Esse barely managed to defeat in the past that is suddenly awakened. Now that it’s awake, it seeks to maybe rip open a portal to allow its legion to come through or its trying to bend everyone to its will using magical items from both here and in other realms?
Sorry for the rant.
You actually can’t get that mystery jewel, so you didn’t miss anything. The BBQ quest can be completed by talking to Eloa if I remember right. Not sure if I released that bug fix yet.
If you are stuck skiing, go back and ski another course normally, that should fix the sprite.
Desert town will be making a comeback very soon! Not this update, but it is on it’s way.
New stuff in the Capital and Castle for sure. Several great ideas planned! Sadly they all require a lot of assets and I’ve been pinging the artists for a lot of work already. So it will come out next after the story update. It’s been awhile since we completed the jungle island and I don’t want people to forget what’s going on!
I am tempted to say let the story rest when it is done. I don’t really have a plan, and to be fair when I started the game I had a rough ending in mind and pretty much the plot was “get to the Capital.” Other stuff, like the whole demon stuff, I came up with along the way! I think it ended up fitting pretty nicely though.
I already spoke to Eloa after and it still shows as not completed. So I will wait for the next bug fix.
Sweet!! Next few updates will be great with what you have planned.
Yeah the story you have so far is awesome. A bit sad to see it end but it also has to have an ending. Like I said, they could be ideas for a future story set in SB’s world if you feel like making a sequel game to this. For now, I look forward to the conclusion of the story.
Another random question, I know we have done a few night missions. Will there be more night missions or a day/night cycle where we can get into mischief like robbing more bakeries or certain activities only doable at night?
So only a few story updates left? Feels a little bitter knowing that the game’s almost over, but sweet, knowing that it’s almost complete.
To be fair the game have at least more than 3 hours of gameplay even if you rush it, my current save have over 12 hours on it lol, so yeah, not a small game for a rpg
yes we have something in the works that will happen at night. i think it will be very gooood…
I’ve been working through this game for weeks on and off, and I gotta say?
It’s incredible how solid this game is on almost every level.
Others have already talked about it, so I won’t beat a dead horse too hard. Highlights are the combat encounters almost always being interesting, the characters being fun and interesting, and the story is surprisingly gripping. I felt genuine panic when Esse took over Ellie at the lab.
I’m about to set off for the next new location after the lab, and I’ve already got 20 hours clocked into my save. Surprising how that snuck up on me.
Only criticism I have is that food doesn’t list how filling it is so you don’t have a solid grasp on how useful certain items are compared to others, and that the port town chapter (right before getting to the goblin brewery town) is a low point combat wise.
Couple questions, though.
1.) what are the exact choices that determine a pure or glutton run, and how do they change things? I’ve been trying to go full glutton, but while I’d like to do a second pure run I’d like to know what to look out for. 20 hours is a lot of time to sink, especially when there’s still more to go through.
2.) I stole the food in the ski resort town from the rich kids. I think there’s a scene if you leave it, and I think I’ve locked myself out of it but would like hard confirmation on that.
Yeah that’s all I got. Congrats on making a great game, and here’s to hoping you’ll nail the landing.
for 2) That’s correct, that scene is locked out I believe. I actually did a alt save file to do see that scene.
would be cool to see something happen with ellie as a reward for unlocking all of her drawings. i know you mentioned you had some plans for her, so i guess i’m just saying i support that idea lol
the biggest difference between pure and glutton routes are early on honestly. as you progress through the game the differences really get smaller aside from some dialogue. The ending won’t be impacted by which route you took ultimately.
as for the ski resort scene with the rich kids, yeah if you choose to steal the food it will lock you out of the pure scene and you will be stuck on the glutton scene. thats probably one of the bigger differences between the runs. if you saved beforehand you can choose the purity option even if you’ve chosen pure gluttony until that point.
so just dialogue differences? I know there’s one spot where I save scummed to see the difference (the chocolate room) and going pure locks you out of a boost of some sort (I think it was stomach capacity?). Is that the only one of it’s kind then?
Also, the fairy fountains feel like they were supposed to play a bigger role in character progression but was gently dropped halfway through. Do they give you more if you stay pure?
I literally don’t have a scene to view at all in the replay room for the resort. It’s just a blank crystal. that’s partially why I asked if I was locked out of it
anyways, I look forward to seeing what happens next. And I wish you both luck in whatever you two decide to tackle after this.
Yeah, it’s a bit of a bummer that you’re locked out of a scene since at the time of making the decision there is no warning… Consequences of one’s actions I guess (harsh though they may be) but it still rankles me to be constantly reminded of it in the memory screen. I’d rather that crystal was gone altogether if the player took the glutton route in the ski lodge if there is no planned way to unlock the scene as things stand.
If you go pure, you also get two items, that you otherwise don’t get. But they aren’t overpowered at all, one is an passive TP generator, the other is a refillable cask of beer(for FP, don’t remeber how much though).
The Keg maxes out FP I believe.
I’ve been called out. But yeah, they were supposed to be more of a thing, but then I fleshed out more mechanics and thought how eating events should give you more moves. And then I figured we have enough effective moves and I shouldn’t overload it with moves that all do the same thing.
But to answer your question, the pure v glutton thing is pretty small outside of the Belch attack for glutton and some items and moves for pure + a scene. Don’t focus too much on it.
As for making the scene possible, I don’t know what you people want! If I remove all the differences everybody complains, but if I add in differences people complain! Catch 22 for me.
Amazing. I love it.
