question, is there an discord server?
Yep, right here, though I will say right now it doesnât have anything newer than whatâs already here.
thank you but it didnât work.
This sounds like it was written by an AI. Also the account was made same day. Funny stuff
What was that? Was it some ad?
okay first off. thatâs the kind of comment that gets flagged. and second. progress is being made, you are likely find out more if there is a discord. last i recall hearing. progress on development will be posted when notable progress happens

Gameplay-wise definitely, reworking the slimes is one of the reasons this next update is taking a while. Lore-wise I have some ideas, but nothing solidly pinned down yet.
Whatâs going on with those new members?
Those were AI Bots, I think.
Then what those two bots are talking about?
New update, saves are probably broken again, still trying to future-proof that.
Can you please, please make the giant slimes not spawn in the hundrends at the same time I canât play at all, they always end up destroying everything. =(
Sizable update. Since iâm posting so soon after its release, iâll bury all my notes about the new stuff.
Lotta words notes and comments on the new content.
In my curiousity to see the new area, i think i managed to enter it significantly underprepared due to rushing energy capacity. For potential referencing, i entered the cave systems with my suit upgrades at Movement 7/10, Efficiency 3/12, Transfer 1/10, Drone 3/9, Elasticity 9/9, and Hammerspace 2/5⌠while also not having Fortifications, Steam Diversion, or Crystal Infusion researched. I brought a barely last-stage Captain into the resting cave to see if that would open the floor, and it didnât⌠until I switched to a very low-weight Dax (~300 energy), at which point the floorbreak sequence triggered immediately (and amusingly didnât drop the captain, maybe due to being so wide part of her was on offscreen terrain that hadnât been destroyed or something?).
The next while was spent setting up elevators to try and scout the caves & find the other crewmates. It didnât take particularly long to find Tauma, though i wasnât expecting to not be able to swap to her. It also didnât take long for me to realize that there were still slime spawners i had to deal with⌠and you can probably imagine my surprise when slimes started falling from above.
As things currently stand, iâve been having a rough time. The rightside spawner is easy enough to get passible defense working, but the one up top (presumably where the Captain landed?) is absolutely brutal. The angles the slimes can get while falling basically give them a landing zone that reaches from the right ledge to 1 tile past the steam vent, which also happens to be exactly as far as a 2-wide power supply will reach if you want to build an elevator to the left ledge⌠making the left side of the low caves nigh indefensible, and making the steam vent itself a bit of a trap.
Iâm still trying to figure out a defensive setup in the caves that is ironclad enough to handle waves of upwards of 10 or 20 orange slimes. Usually i can set up a line of Fortwall-Laser2-Steam1-Laser2 and be fine, but a fortwall can only take 4 hits from an orange before collapsing entirely and 2 (or 3) laser2s arenât enough raw damage to stop orange waves that large. I may figure out a setup that doesnât lose too much damage while still allowing a 2-wide generator eventually (I havnât looked at Gauss much because resource-sink, or laser 3 because energy issues), but am still in the see-what-works phase.
Relatedly, between dead solars, halved turbines, and ceilings everywhere limiting accumulators, thereâs a pretty heavy energy crunch as far as defensible positions go. Iâm guessing its supposed to force me to use the enormous nuclear plants, sâpecially with the excess of crystal deposits all over the place. I wouldnât have any problems at all with defense if i just set up on the upper levels instead of the lower and teched straight for the teleporter, but iâm still working under the assumption that the Captain is reachable to the left of the giant crystal. I want to do that before building the teleporter, and from what i can tell this would require an enormously tall HabWall layering that extends to the lowest floor, which i thus need to keep not broken, right on the hotspot of where the worst slime spawn is.
âŚalso letting a hundred+ slimes stack up on the bottom floor unchecked seems like a bad idea for performance reasons.
I might just restart the save over, see if i can come in with a stronger set of accumulated resources/upgrades to reach the Captain before getting drowned by an orange wave and having to reload, but iâm not quite at that point yet.
Holy wow, this update saw a severe increase in difficulty. It feels like orange slimes spawn far more regularly than green slimes and they basically one-shot even a fully-powered energy shield.
The difficulty seems a bit extreme so far. I canât even begin to rebuild on the left side of the map because insane numbers of super powered slimes spawn so often I canât get resources and build fast enough.
Was able to complete the first area without much problems as i have done it a number of times before. The new area was really a challenge tough, the way to reach it was fun but would advise for more in game info to get it as i only tried to find it because of your patch notes.
Spoilers for new content:
The dark area that doesnt allow for solar panels made it really difficult but i did enjoy it, the slimes spawned a ton and i lost progress a lot but using the upper floors i was able to save some materials to return back there and reinforce the bottom area. Had some problem with elevators as some didnt work properly and had to build a lot of platforms to reach different areas, got to find both crewmembers (not sure if its always the same ones or is it with who i made the cave collapse with that changes, after they said to build the teleporter, i was able to return to the original area but there was no comment or anything about it, just the crew on the new reinforced floor still in the cave. Overall enjoyed a different layout and want to see what more you can make with this.
I could be wrong, but it seems like the number and type of slimes spawned is linked to the upgrades youâve unlocked. I got overrun by slimes in the middle of attempting to build an overambitious defensive setup, so I had to reload a much earlier save. Thinking that I should get a head start on defense this time, I decided to unlock the higher-level defensive structures right away⌠but then I suddenly got overrun again by another giant wave of big slimes, much earlier than it happened in my previous attempt. I guess youâre not supposed to unlock the higher-level defensive structures until youâre actually ready to use them?
EDIT: Okay, something definitely seems weird here. I was getting overrun by the big slimes again, so I reloaded a save without waiting for the attack to finish, and the big slimes were still there for some reason. Tried reloading a couple more times, and suddenly they were gone, and the attack was on cooldown again? I honestly have no idea whatâs going on any moreâŚ
EDIT 2: More weirdness, and kind of an exploit: Pausing seems to interrupt the slimesâ movement while still allowing turrets to continue attacking them. Also, sometimes they fall off the screen if you interrupt their jump by pausing. Honestly, Iâm just happy to be rid of them at this point.
new update looks interesting, but sounds like Iâll want to hold off on trying it for a bit till things are ironed out a little more. Lookin forward to seeing where it goes from here.
I saw people commenting on the slime absurd waves in this update and thought âWell, if I make a small base, and grind some upgrades Iâm sure I can get past themâ but yeah, 10 orange slimes got to me, and destroyed everything. and since some of my stuff was way up top, I was locked out from them
considering that the new area is a cave, Iâm sure this is building up to us getting to the slime nest and destroying them, maybe the way it will work is that we need to cull their nest to reset their difficulty or something periodically.
also, I didnât particularly appreciate how my hub walls got one shot just like that, sometimes everything feels like is built with sand, and thatâs fine with lower tech, but hub walls?? I wonder if the building HP was updated to take into account the new slime changes if it did. tell that to my Hub walls (rest in pieces )
I didnât read the development log about what was new in this version, and it was fun to discover the new area⌠and the fun ended XD.
(I put everything as a spoiler since I wouldnât like to spoil it for anyone.)
After passing the whole new part I must admit that the slimes are too many to do anything, the only way I found to complete it was to go in the safest and slowest way possible, and it was not fun, also not knowing where the others were, It just makes everything worse.
Also leaving the area is anticlimactic but I understand that it is only for now.
(I must admit that it took me a long time before I found someone and thatâs why it became impossible for me to put up with the slimes anymore).
Also, being able to return through the portal to the cave seems like a good idea to me, but I feel like something strange is happening?
By the way, I like that there is more difficulty in the game, it just needs to be a little more balanced (at least the current difficulty is something like the very difficult one in the final game).
Anyway, very good update and what a shame that knuckles was discarded XD
