If anyone wants to edit the sprite sheets or perhaps make their own, might I recommend Aseprite. It allows you to import sprite sheets as individual sequenced images and then back into a sprite sheet again. It has loads of helpful features including an automatic shading tool and something that lets you make perfect lines each time (meaning you don’t have to agonise over deleting squares and softening edges).

I just use Gimp cuz it’s free lol

No new weight levels are available with prestiging, it’s just getting proportionally bigger.

made a new account just to talk on this (lost the old login info).

This game is absolutely amazing! Its exactly what I’ve always wanted from an weight gain game, there is an actual need to gain the weight instead of a pure want and choice in the matter really. The game just does everything right, from the artstyle (which is very cute I love it), the gameplay and the story.

As much as I’d love for this game to be updated with a lot more content, you get asked that enough as is, obviously. whatever you put out for the next few updates will surely be the perfect additions to wrap this game up, as well as the inclusion of source files means possible modifications to add to the game (unless I read the post wrong or don’t understand it fully).

tl;dr. this game is a pure gem, gives me massive inspiration with its artstyle, theme, gameplay, all you can think of. I hope the final updates add at least a bit more, but if not I’ll still be happy either way. Keep up the great work

Currently working on a spritesheet that adds shading and a few animation tweaks to Protagonist, right now I’m at weight stage 5 of 13. I just finished this idle animation of her exhausted from her new size, wanted to share with y’all

Despite idle frames existing I don’t know how those are used in-game, I know there are eight for each direction, but all of them are identical to eachother. Have you tried testing this? Even if idle animations are not implemented, I’m sure they could be seeing that it already uses sprite sheets with them included.

I made a very rough test sheet of the lowest weight level, you can see how the idle animations behave by dropping it into the game. Basically each of the eight identical frames is one frame of an animation that runs at all times while she’s standing still.

Whoops, I seemed to have replied to the wrong person, that message was meant for Flateur. Well anyway, thanks for confirming.

Very nicely done, plus the shading looks great as well!

Just finished stage 7, progress is getting slower as Protagonist gets bigger…

I’ve also started work on the player icons, and Sen is completely done!

Looks like Protagonist finally got around to polishing Sen’s screen. That thing was getting dusty…

Hello, i first wanted to comment that I’m a big fan of this project, both in concept and on execution and I’m glad you’re still working on it, i can’t wait to try out future versions, thought no rush ofc, take your time.

I also wanted to comment that I’ve tried to speedrun it on the highest difficulty, the run could be more optimal but i had a lot of fun routing the game and trying to come up with the fastest strat i could, I’m not sure if anyone has tried this already but i haven’t been able to find any other speedrun on youtube, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong tho, i would love to see if my routing could be improved or if there’s some unique tech I’m not aware of.

Reactors really do be the most important power source lol

Starting with solar and then going for nuclear level 1s seems to be the meta imo, steam is really limited in terms of locations and quantity, wind can be quite unreliable (thought with good luck rolls it could be faster than solar earlygame) and the upgrades of nuclear take 2 squares of space and a huge chunk of resources, which means they’re both not very cost effective and the upgrade that increases absorption range won’t work as well as with 1 square generators.

Found an interesting bug trying to do my own speedrun. I don’t know what exactly triggered it, but there’s no research available to make the teleporter. You can see me being confused going through it quickly then slowing down to make sure I didn’t skip over it, then go to see if I had already gotten it somehow, then seeing if I can get it to pop up after buying other research. No dice, unfortunately.

So… Uh… I guess she’s stuck here forever now because her CRT TV companion lost the schematic. Bit of a whoopsy on its part.

I may be misremembering, but I’m pretty sure you need advanced fusion power before you get the teleporter.

Did you get high density structures and high energy processing? Both are needed before you can research teleporters. If you had them before Sen talks to you about the teleporter it should unlock when he does.

Thank you, I wasn’t aware. I’ll probably try my hand again then knowing this.
