I went to the crafting menu, but I don’t see a weight scale.

It didn’t work. Unfortunately.
dang then I go no idea. my biggest problem I had was mod conflict. and even then it still spawned just much of the food didn’t have code and thus never spawned

Oh, no no no. It’s the starbound.log file. Here is where it should be (provided you don’t use the unstable version):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage\starbound.log
I recommend starting the game up again and let it crash so that it updates before sending it here.
Are you sure you installed that mod into the mods folder of your star bound folder. ( Where your starbound is downloaded? I think that may be your issue
You didn’t move it? At all? That’s not installing the mod.
There’s a mods folder in your starbound folder which you have to move the mod into in order to install it
Yeah I don’t think he moved it at all, it’s just in the games folder if you look at the screenshot
