Starbound Mod: Starpounds Big Fatties

Okay? That’s not my problem though since other people made those. I’m pretty sure the food description fix mentions specifically what version to use. And Joliair’s Fatty Dungeon is just straight up unfinished. Or just busted.

hey i just started playing starbound and I’m using your mod for my first run of the game and for some reason whenever npc’s go to interact with the feeding tubes it doesn’t work and they just stand on the stool. Also if I interact with the feeding tube before the npc’s instead of the weight going to the npc’s it just goes to my character. sorry if its been posted about before I tried looking but i couldn’t find anything. Also I’m really enjoying the game so far so thanks and keep up the good work!

use one of the milkshake guns on npcs to get the tubes to work right.

I ended up dying while eating replicated cake in the Arena of Fire quest where you kill Templar Inferno and as I killed him I went with him (Fire damage) and when I respawned BF is glitched out where not only can I not gain, but when I disable BF and close the menu or reset it still says BF is on/enabled

Is it possible to customize the weight gain/loss stats for NPCs? I don’t like how fast they lose all their gained weight

Is this mod sfw enough for me to upload a screenshot of it on Steam? I don’t want to get in trouble with the staff there, so I’m waiting for an answer before I decide.

It doesn’t even have nipples in it, so I think you’ll probably be fine.

Your results will likely vary on the size you end up using and whether the character(s) in question are still clothed. But I do hope the smaller sizes at least, could be considered sfw. And maybe even used normally under non kink circumstances by others.

Thank you for the quick response! Guess I’ll just have to be extra careful.

I’ve also encountered the glitch that @O1_TheUnknown met with, but it was a poison status I think was afflicting my character when I died. Then when I respawned, BF no longer caused me to gain or let me switch it off.

I’ve been playing this mod for a bit (with cheat mods cause i’m a lazyass that has never played starbound) and honestly, it’s one of the most well made mods i’ve ever seen
not just fetish related but just, any mod

i have a question though, if you want to lose weight do you just have to reset your weight in the Big Fatties menu? or is there a different way to lose weight (besides the Treadmill)? it’s kind of boring to have to walk on a treadmill, pause for a few seconds, walk, pause, walk pause, espiecally when you’re in the blob stages

I have a bug report that is like, kinda big maybe?

So I got a custom race (i know they don’t work with Big Fatties but I don’t rlly care haha) before I discovered I needed another mod to get more slots. I downloaded the most popular one, “Kawa’s xbawks-mode character creator” but when I did so and loaded up Starbound again…

I got an error that prevented the loading from completing. It reads:
[23:09:19.828] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (StarException) Unknown species kind 'fatnovakid'.

Obviously since I have no other fat mods besides addons that have never really caused errors, I’m assuming it’s straight up Big Fatties.

It’s been reported before, and as is it’s not that serious. Current version has something I forgot to remove when taking out a failed experiment. Basically don’t hover over the first empty spot in the character menu and you’ll be fine. But if it’s that big of an issue, you can scroll up the thread for a fix of sorts. It’s not a part of the main link because I never got feedback on it to make it worth it as it was mainly a fix for something else, and I just threw in the fatnovakid fix as a bonus.

I can’t like, not hover over the empty slot because the game crashes before the main menu loads in (gets past Chucklefish, just goes to the black loading screen for around 3 minutes before crashing)
I’ll look for the fix though

If the game is now crashing before you even get to the main menu, then that is likely an issue with mods. Make sure that any .pak files are in the starbound mods folder itself, and not a folder within the folder (i.e. not “mods\example-mod\example-mod.pak”, but rather “mods\example-mod.pak”). Meanwhile, any mods that are not in .pak format, and instead in a loose format, should be placed so that that there is the mod folder, and then its contents inside it (i.e. not “mods\example-mod\example-mod\files”, but rather “mods\example-mod\files”). Lastly, double check any of the new mods you have for any missing dependencies. Just like how Dispatch’s mod has quickbarmini as a dependency, one of your new mods might have a dependency you are missing. Hope this helps.

i fixed it with the eariler fix that took a few mins to find, the crash was 100% fatnovakid trying to exist

Which is weird because I think you’re the only person to have it crash on startup. For everyone else, it only crashes if you hover over one of the empty icons in the character creation screen.

might be cause i have a shitty pc haha
like dialogue takes minutes to go through due to lag and i dont even have the right specs to play starbound
but i still do

I’ve had it crash on startup as well. It seems to be rare; usually the game’s fine as long as I avoid the icon.
