Starbound Mod: Starpounds Big Fatties

Heyo mate ya thing is kinda deleted do you have a different download for it? or is it canceled because both is ight with me

uh i dowloaded the mod followed the instructions but uh the mod doesnt work properly the ui opens but it doesnt work how do i fix it ?

Is the Avali mod still good to download? I wanna try it for BF, but I hear its outdated.

What? What’s outdated? The Avali mod in general? That’s still been relatively updated by those who picked it up. Support for it by this mod isn’t really something to worry about either. Or are you referring to something else?

You did click the enable button in the ui, right?

hol up, what avali mod?

The mod for the Avali race in general. I know that BF support is covered for the Avali, but just to be certain: the Steam version is what everyone is using, right?

You sound kind of confused. The mod with Triage is the fan support it’s officially gotten for many years and hasn’t stopped. Steam is just one way to get it, and from my bias against the workshop I’d recommend not getting it there. And just getting it from the chucklefish forum where it’s also hosted.

Avali mod is good for BF, you just need the humanoid Avali mod alongside it to work right.

That’s more so if you don’t care about Avali having a unique body which is part of their appeal. It doesn’t make them work right, it just makes them boring.

Won’t lie, I’m pretty confused. The one on Chucklefish Forums appears to be outdated, so I’m worried about crashing and such.

But if you say the download is fine, then this is what I’m going with : P

I… okay remember when I mentioned Triage? That still applies.

Are there any missions that revolve around your new mechanics? i think it would be a neat way of tying the game with the fetish.

I think the most you’re going to see at the moment is NPCs with fattening effects existing in current missions. Moontants, Floran snipers, Cultists, and Apex scientists can fatten you up. Erchius Ghost and Avian temple guards also have a fattening effect but they aren’t present in any missions.
Not 100% of the player-race enemies have the fattening weapons. If you pay attention to their equipment it is very easy to figure out though.

On the Avian race, larger stages have the beak clipping through the body when you crouch.

I would love to see random NPC who kidnaps you and take you to a prison you can easily escape or stay. by using the Arcana mod with random npc spawning in that might work. or using FU mod that uses tentacles for some kind of weight gain element. just some random ideas that I had but thank you making this mod.

Does anyone know which mod adds moontant sludge? I thought I had all the mods but I don’t have moontant sludge.

That’s what I was worried about because that means its probably mod conflictions that’s removing it

PS:
thanks for replying so quickly

Edit: nope it wasn’t mod conflictions, I have no idea where moontant sludge went but at this point I can live without it.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but there is a conflict with the mod “Keep Your Day Job!” by Snorps. if the mod is installed all of the NPC’s that are randomly generated into the world disappear instantly.
the Starbound.log file states the following error if the “Big Fatties” mod, and the “Keep your Day job” mod are running.

[06:42:43.747] [Error] Exception while calling script init: (LuaException) Error code 2, [string “/npcs/callthepeacekeepers.lua”]:27: stack overflow
stack traceback:

it is then followed by a bunch of string errors. each pertaining to every NPC that is on the screen at the time of loading into a saved game.

I’m not sure if it’s futile for me to ask if this can be investigated, and possibly fixed. but it would be greatly appreciated if the two mods could work together. otherwise might I suggest that a log be put some ware (unless there already is and I don’t know about it) that shows conflicting mods with this one.
thank you.
