The Fertile Farm

Very happy to have this be a thing, but I also found a lot of issues (which is hardly surprising, when it’s the first release, as well as having been rapidly pushed out as a surprise).

Along with other glitches, I’ve noticed some collectable items on the farm let you walk over them and out of normal paths (like walking onto a collectable flower letting me walk on the water). A few of the furnishings have overlay/clipping bugs - one fixed itself after building something else near it, while another (one of the bookshelves, I think) is still half-missing on top.

I don’t know if it was because I edited in a lot of things (money, 99 of most items, etc.) to skip the grind, because it was getting to be too slow to enjoy much at first (I like getting huge…what can I say?), but eventually the crafting menus for materials/tools and food just kind of…mixed together. Unless it was a problem caused when gaining access to higher crafting tiers, I’d have to guess maybe it was because I had 99 of the Advanced and Master books (because I didn’t know which item number they were, to set them back to 1).

I was completely unable to get any pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds (but, like others, I could still somehow plant watermelons), and yew. The last of these was the most troubling, since it’s needed to make the best pickaxe and best fishing rod (which I’m not sure the point of, unless it just guarantees catching salmon without failure or something). I wanted to know if something good was behind that wall you can theoretically break, but I couldn’t make the tool I assume was needed…

The little girl on the far left of the nursery, I assume, is supposed to need you to craft a toy to give to her. I just talked to her, she thanked me (for a toy I didn’t have, but apparently gave her), and then she proceeded to be dead to the world (while at least the rest of the kids that are only found there were at least reacting to changing pregnancy size).

I still don’t know what the circle you expose by cutting down the one tree does. That is, unless it’s supposed to drain energy to trigger something else (that seems related) - but I never saw it draining energy or nutrition or anything.

Lactation only makes your sprite’s boobs swell when it happens during the day, best as I’ve noticed. Waking up in the morning always saw me being full, but never swollen bigger. Also, I don’t know if it was just left out to avoid needing twice as many pictures for the “CG” option, but full milk isn’t reflected in the CG.

All that said - and while it will be good to see the bugs ironed out, and the items that are missing becoming available - it’s still a neat game. Again, I wish the size went bigger (and maybe that repeated pregnancies would see her cup size increase, even beside filling with milk - since that does really happen, while milk balloons [neat as they can be] don’t). But, I get that most people wouldn’t want to be slowly trudging around the farm with a belly and boobs big enough to make squeezing out of the house a struggle…even if I really, really would. I’ll still consider it an impressive game without those hopes becoming something that actually happens, though…

missing a sprite ?

I just tested the black screen glitch some more, and it looks like it triggers specifically when you use the “Retire” option to go to bed (while having contractions). Going back to the bedroom and using the bed appears to be fine.

More bugs as I find them: Fertile Farm Bug Report - Google Docs

It’s slightly buggy, but overall it’s a pleasant experience. Quite relaxing actually.
Once the bugs get ironed out, it’ll be a great game to just waste some hours on

3 bugs found:

  1. bread shelf is still borked

  2. watermelon and pumpkin seeds dont get consumed from inventory, but also cant be used

  3. several food items are invisible and cant be brought up in the inventory (the one I know of right now is ice cream)

Well this is a nice fun little game I like it.

tried the game, p fun but also takes too long to grind for items. can’t seem to figure out where to get razzlebberries

They appear as flower-like plants you can pick, on one of the parts of the farm you have to open up - probably after you have enough karma.

Happy crafting.

The yew wood is glitched for me, it shows as pink, but it should be pink. has this happened to anyone else when they transferred their saves?

And I can’t milk the cow a second time around every day after the first time I got her I cannot milk her.

you got the 1.02 version? it is fixed in that one

The game doesn’t acknowledge me having a stone pickaxe when I try to mine ore or break the rocks. The same goes for when I have a copper pickaxe, which I somehow got the ore for automatically.

Do you have the pickaxe equipped? You need to equip your tools to use them.

I second the bug with the unuseable yew wood. I currently have 4 and can’t craft a lumber.

I have the same problem as @BlakLite I have it equipped, but it won’t do anything. Going to try to exit and reenter, see if that clears the error.

Me to in fact I had to has the debug room to get yew woods.

hey so I need to ask. how do you get hyper preg working? like i have it turned on but i can never seem to get Clara’s belly any bigger then normal, any help is very appreciated and sorry if im just dumb.

its based on nutrition given. You need to have foods that give a bunch of it if Im not mistaken.

alright ill try that! thanks for the help!

Typed up a guide for getting through the earlygame grind as fast as possible, for folks who are struggling with that part.

(A note on growing watermelons: The watermelon field is bugged, but you can still plant watermelons as long as you have grape seeds in your inventory.)
