I’m having a little trouble understanding, but there’s definitely more gameplay after this scene and this is definitely a bug. Do you remember what day this was on?

Btw, I love red feints, but I still hate notes that touch each other (rapid double tap) IMO rpgmaker simply cannot reliably process a rapid double tap. red feints are a good way to add difficulty for example though without having to press any harder on rpgmaker’s rather poor input processing speed.

also each song tidbit so far is quite short, another way to add difficulty might be just to double the length? (I get that this might end up being boring, because we’re still in the tutorial and I assume length will be more intense in future updates?)

Then again there aren’t actually enough notes that touch vertically that I’m losing, even though I fail that type of note almost always.

edit: Of course another issue is that I win every contest, yet still do poorly on some types of notes. Maybe if every single belly idol challenge in the game prompted you to save before it began? That would allow for rapidly retrying songs? Rhythm game fans love replaying songs at will. Since I never know exactly when in the plot a battle will occur sometimes my last save is 5-10minutes ago, and well, if I lost? I guess I’d load, but since I win? I never want to reload to try for a perfect…

Adding save prompts to every single challenge would mean you could make things harder without punishing the player as hard.

edit2: Oh also while baking pies I had no idea what I was doing and I often clicked on the apple and pressed z on the dough and my pie burnt because I tried to take it out by clicking and such. of course in reality it was z for apple and left then right for the dough and i assume z again for the pie (I only got to try one pie, which I burned) but it still seems like my failure was counted as a success, so I didn’t bother to go back.

Yepyep, definitely have this planned for the future! The starting 3 songs are meant to all be fairly short just to introduce things conceptually, the songs that are used for actual challenger characters will most likely be half/full length songs, so somewhere between 1.5 and 3 minutes long.

Do you think it would be a good idea for the game to automatically pull up the save menu right before they enter a battle? Just a bit worried that it might be “jarring” or something, I dunno. Might also consider adding a replay feature where you can go back and replay scenes or songs, but that would have to wait until a much later update. For now, more content is the focus!

The way save prompts work (in other rpgmaker games on this forum) is usually yes/no on yes pull up menu and on no don’t pull up menu.

Of course a totally non-jarring way to do it would be to ask if you wanted to replay the scene right after it finished. But i’m not sure that sort of autosave autoload procedure is even possible in rpgmaker. Then again maybe it wouldn’t have to work like a save/load, maybe if you’re not happy with your score, you could just restart the song and recount the score? I dunno.

If you get home and leave the house and do stuff there are quite a few bugs, solution? You can’t leave your house, you must go to bed then wake up and trigger the final scene.

Example of bug? You can walk to the classroom, see yourself, turn invisible, leave the classroom, remain invisible :slight_smile: Clearly the game expects you to notice your mom isn’t home, and then go to bed, rather than searching the whole town for her :slight_smile: (preventing the player from leaving their house will get them to be assuredly following along and going to bed.)

I think i’ve disabled leaving the house in the lastest bugfix version (The day you get home is the last day of new content)

good morning this bug happened to me last night but it was because I enter the supermarket that this way to school by the way not if you do not understand what I say is because I speak Spanish and the google translator does not help much xD

I don’t know if my version is out of date but, I experienced two bugs right near the end. After leaving my house after wondering where my mom went, Emily reappeared with me. Next, Emily and I walked into the classroom and became soft locked as a class with no dialogue or classmates began.

So I tried playing the latest version from the beginning and well, its pretty much unplayable. The maps don’t load correctly so I don’t know where stuff is and the tiling overflows into the black abyss. Hopefully its not just me, but anyone wanna try running the latest from the start to see what I mean. If its simply an issue with version 0.3.5 on itch.io, could someone send me the previous version, 0.3.2? I couldn’t see how to download an old version on itch.io even though it shows them by name.

The most recent version worked just fine for me with none of the issues you’re describing. I would check to see when your downloading that your anti-virus software isn’t blocking a file from loading or downloading.

As far as downloading older versions, on itch.io. In the development log section (underneath the download button) you can just click on any of the links for the listed other versions and it will bring you to the past version page. Then, you can just download that other version.

Dumb thing, but make sure you’re unzipping the game files. Some people on this site still haven’t figured that out.

If that’s not the issue, then as Krodmandoon said, make sure to check that the file loading isn’t being blocked by your antivirus. Other than that, this game uses the same stuff as any other RPGMaker game on this site, so if you’re running into issues with this one, you’ll likely face the same issues in all other RPGMaker games.

I somehow broke it. No matter what I do, sleeping in the bed after finishing the conveyor belt class gives me a black screen, where I can bring up my pause menu and ONCE watched a TV, but I can’t see and get no feedback

Is there a way to adjust the difficulty i am playing on mobile (joyplay) and its almost impossible to win the minigames with the arrows?
