But some characters sometimes seem to have no nose at all, so it seems a bit strange.

Yeah, I know it’s especially noticeable on some. I can slightly fix the noses hopefully.

Sorry, what do you mean? If you’re referring to the old lady’s hands that sprite is part of an asset pack that is made pretty well I think. Yeah, hands are a bit strange on that maybe, I will see if I can edit them.

In general, I am really conscious the sprites have lots of misplaced things, artifacts, wrong shadows etc. but as I said from the start keep in mind they are AI generated for now with minor edits. I suppose I can get a lot better only using AI but that’s not my intent. I don’t want to actually really learn AI tools to generate better images, those are to me like “advanced placeholders” because I’d like to manually edit most of the sprites as soon as I can (not remaking them from scratch). That wasn’t originally planned and probably sounds a bit useless knowing I could probably get better results only with AI due to not being a professional artist but I’m doing this project for fun so I want do some manual drawings/edits as well. I read somewhere even on this site that AI is not so well received and I partly agree with that too (one would have to open a huge discussion here).

With that in mind, I want to do CGs too (full screen drawings for most important scenes) even though those will probably require a lot more time and learning.

The most important thing I’m trying to get is not to make it feel static. I want to avoid having to read through hundreds of words with characters standing still. Because I don’t really have alternative poses but just different facial expressions (plus emotes, like the vein popping on the head when angry), I’m trying to use the camera and displaying characters at different distances. I had the idea to do back sprites too… I will consider that also because it would add scenes with a character that has his back to the player and is talking to another etc.

Ideally, the scene should move (a new characters pop up, someone moves, changes in expressions, zooms etc.) every two or three lines to feel it’s not static as far as I am perceiving it, so it’s not really easy and it will likely come out a lot more static than I’d like it to be. A dub will make things a lot better and I will look into that too… but then I’d have to do the mouth opening/closing when talking too that will vary for each character and expression :face_exhaling::face_with_head_bandage:

P.S: I’m trying to make it feel more “professional” as I write this post not even in a language I am so comfortable with, but it’s really an amateur project :wink:

Some update… I am busy with university exams the next two months so I will wait until I am more free to release some demo (maybe just a recorded gameplay) to get some feedback on the first chapter. In general, it will still take a lot of time to get this game completed.

For now I’m closing the tiers on patreon because I’ve got everything I wanted basically. I used the money I got from it to buy backgrounds and other assets, so thank you to everyone who subscribed (we’re not talking about a significative amount by any means ahah, but thanks anyway!)

I know it feels like I haven’t done something worth with this project but it’s like two or three months ago that I really started to “work” on it (I won’t count last summer) and I’m now quite confident I learned everything I need for the coding part. Now I will take a bit to learn digital art to do some edits on the sprites and hopefully do full screen illustrations as well.

I think I am quite at a good point, but getting everything together might be hard (or impossible) :smile:

There is an old demo available on the Patreon, but’s it’s just a kinetic character introduction with no fetish content.

(I am the author of the game) I removed that as well since it was really old. Sadly I lost track a bit of this project since it was too ambitious but I still would like to continue it some day.

I decided to work on a shorter game if anyone is interested: Fattening Office: Weight Gain Visual Novel (Anime-style, female weight gain)

I feel so bad for not updating this game/thread but I had various problems.
