Update to the Patreon Fundraiser
First I would like to congratulate everyone on hitting the first goal of the fundraiser! Over the course of December I have seen a large outpouring of support form the community and I am extremely grateful for everyone who has been generous enough to lend their hand and help me with keeping Weight Gaming up and running.
But I do still urge that everyone doesn’t celebrate to much yet. While this is a major accomplishment the next battle now begins and the funding has to at least stay above $2400/month for 3 months in a row. If the community is able to hold that the goal will be able to be hit as early as the beginning of March!
I’ll continue to update the fundraising topic weekly like I have been doing until the goal is met.
New Projects Moratorium Starting Next Week
There has been a bit of confusion about what is going on with the Projects category on 1/1/26. I am sorry as I guess I did not explain it very well. To be clear on 1/1/26 we will not be allowing any new project topics to be created until @Krodmandoon and I are able to get the moderation issues sorted out and the fundraising goal has been met.
Existing project topics will stay open and dev can continue to post updates and users can continue to reply and chat on them.
The reason for this is to give me and @Krodmandoon some breathing room to get some new mods on and rework some of our moderation and rules, by only having to worry about moderating the existing projects already on Weight Gaming.
Right now we have been able to find some potential candidates for Mods that both Krod and I feel good about and plan on disusing them and any rule changes early January. It is my current goal to have everything sorted out and the new Mods on boarded no latter then end of February/early March which should line up with meeting the fundraising goal as long as the patreon is able to stay above the $2400/month mark until then.
I would like to thank you all for the support you all have shown so far and sticking with me through this. While there are still some other issues I still need to get sorted out I feel a lot better about this trajectory so I really hope we will be able to pull this off.
