So I was wondering about something I noticed with each update, and I finally figured it out: It seems like Peach and Urg don’t have the same version of the game software, so we’ve effectively been getting different versions of the game the whole time. That might also be causing some of the other issues as well? Can’t tell from just this little observation, but it might be something to look into, maybe.
(from " The ornithology update!" build on the itch page)
The skill shop issue should finally be fixed; the first area was using an older item generation code than the rest of the game.
The area you can reach from the roof has been moved to its own map to load faster and fix the fade out/in issues. The scene has also been polished with properly looping music and sprite wobbles.
Finally, I got a (slightly wonky) daemon compendium for you, the Weenipedia. You can access it from the menu. It is mostly in order, and you navigate it with Q&E/the shoulder buttons. No mouse only controls, but I don’t think anyone is playing this game on a phone.
Hello, I downloaded the Ornithology Update! But when I try to enter the digital world, I get this message.
A few errors/possible errors as of ver 26.
After you have [spoiler]your big meal and the vampire drains you of excess sugar, she stays around in that corner there. May I have something to do with that I recruited her before the meal.
I can get the Big Ween package at the mail room without getting the BigWeen password from that door on floor 4.
The candy pile resets to its starting graphical size after putting down 50 candies, leaving, and coming back.
After getting all 50 candies, the three old school Halloween monsters, and putting the Big Ween book, interacting with the candy pile to summon the Big Ween doesn’t do anything but making the Big Ween book wiggle a little.
Minnie the Killer Mimic seems to be missing a stage at level 14. She doesn’t transform at that level as she is listed in the Weenipedia. Her final stage doesn’t appear in the Weenipedia either.
Red Riding Archer’s replies to various things (vending machines, leveling up) seem to get garbled up with multiple evolution stages responding at the same time (Red Riding Archer Evo1, Evo2, Evo3).
Not sure if this last one is an error, but the quest log for the “Miss Fizzy I Don’t Feel So Good” doesn’t seem to update after talking with D-Pad as is indicated by the quest log. And the initial question of “What are we going to do about Gong?” remains after asking D-Pad. The end to that conversation is uncertain enough such that it might indicate a wait until later to ask again. So I’m not sure if this one is a glitch or not.
1 hr in and so far so fun! I really love this! I’ve gotten up to the virtual world on the reception/lobby computer but I’ve run into a few snags! Sometimes the music stops when fighting, at least within the virtual space of the reception computer. Upon exiting that world, my game crashed with no error message! I’ll play more later, but despite those issues, everything’s quite good apart from some weird text when lvling red riding archer!
this game is great! I really love it. The graphics are really cute and I love the mechanics, it’s rare that I actually enjoy an RPG. There’s a lot to it.
Does anyone know if Sloth Goddess evolves? and on that note, I will say, one of the only things I would add/change to the game is an indicator of whether or not a monster is fully evolved.
Also, does defeating the secret boss do anything? I didn’t get any real reward.
There’s an in-game bestiary in the main menu that you can go through with the ‘q’ and ‘e’ keys! It has information regarding evolutions! Though, there is a report that says it may be inaccurate, so be aware.
Ah I see, thank you!
A couple of other things I found:
This happens when you find codes in the dungeon, this happens and you don’t seem to get any items:
When you step away from a vending machine, an item selection screen pops up.
Alright, now I’ve got some actual bugs and stuff to report
Rare bits and mystery snacks stop working
After fully filling the candy pile, then entering LONGRASS, the pile will reduce back down to tiny in size, but still say it’s just as large.
Once I’ve gotten Ducky two, the option to present it to D-pad doesn’t appear.
Re: Duck number 2 - Are you sure you’re in the latest version? Peach pushed a fix for that a couple of days ago :0
I’m not sure, I’ll update the game though and see if that fixes it
I had a problem where the pink duck was in my inventory but didn’t show up when using/giving items and so couldn’t be selected the dungeon update, but the duck and all the other softlocks impeding me were fixed in the ornithology update. The only thing I can do is recommending double checking that the game is updated to that version or newer because it is tricky to know what version you are using. You need to update if you do not have the weenipedia in the pause menu.
Holy shit this has to be the best game I’ve ever played on Weight Gaming.
I am uploading what will likely be the penultimate update for Huge Hallows 5.
The final boss now has mechanics (and you can actually reach her whoops). Several broken moves have been fixed. A weenipedia description was added for all non-catchable-enemies.
More daemons now have things to say about your activities in the game… Oh, and enemy levels were lowered by about 3 and you gain levels from fights faster. Enjoy less grind.
The final update will add a caught-em-all certificate and enemy Daemon trainers wandering the later dungeons. And if you are lucky; animations for all the moves in the game.
updating fixed it, excited to fget the final final update and finish the game
Alright, one last thing
How do you perform the ending ritual? even after the final update i still can’t get the vampire, the only difference between now and before is that the summoning instructions appear when trying to deposit an item.
Have you interacted with the wooden stool at the Halloween party?
On the lookout for bugs and odd things still, I’ll post what I’ve been collecting so far:
-There’s still occasional crashes at encounter start. I guess there’s one bad enemy spawn still, but since it’s an instant full crash I couldn’t say what it was. It’s in the 2nd Floor comp, if that helps?
-Imp Lilith/Lilith The Imp’s Energy Surge can only target enemies, instead of allies. It functions as stated otherwise.
-Similarly, the Chubee line’s Pollen Poof can only self target instead of targeting enemies despite being an attack. It also functions as stated otherwise.
-A number of attacks seem to not deal damage correctly, or have the incorrect effects? Dosukoi is one of the former that I noticed in particular, failing to deal damage even on an effective hit in an reasonable scenario. There’s a few cases of the latter, with moves that drain health (and seem have reduced power) instead of being plain damage as the description states.
Still progressing through the game, will try and keep track of things that aren’t working right. This game is fantastic and I wanna see it be the best it can be!
can i do a small mod for the game ? it’s ok if it is not ok
