Crusader Kings 2 - 3.0's weight gain

Yeah it’s not much, just a periodic +1 to weight level, or +2 to weight level if have the tentacle broodmother trait.

just a side note, I HATE that chess game event. It can ruin decades long plans and sometimes makes testing the mod a larger hassle than it should be. The Devil child event hasn’t screwed me yet, but I’m waiting for it to do so. I’m probably going to make a control panel for the mod, since there is probably someone who would like the supernatural stuff from my mod, but not the super unforgiving supernatural events from vanilla.

I can guarantee I am that someone, lol.

And I figured out a couple ways around the Devil Child event, both of which involve killing the sprog before they can cause any trouble. The moment I see the words, “My child isn’t like other children, souring milk, laughing when people hurt themselves, etc.,” I pause the game.

In Ironman, imprison and execute the filthy thing.

In console, kill <char id. Simple and efficient.

I have yet to test this with the chess game event. Really have no idea who thought it was a good idea. Meanwhile, the secret bear event is damn near impossible to have occur naturally.

I am unfamiliar with what the limitations of CK2 modding are but would it be possible to do something like “if has race trait ‘Fairy’ and culture is not ‘Fairy’, then do events”?

I would imagine that the fairy (and maybe elf) culture would eat a diet of things like nuts and berries and so if become part of a different culture they could get events related to that. Stuff like trying new foods, getting addicted to human food that kind of thing. I’m not sure if culture would be the best way to represent this.

Yes I can do that extremely easily, all I’d have to do is write something like:

if = {
limit = {
AND = {
NOT = { has_culture = lf_culture_elven }
trait = elven
}
}
change_variable = { physique_variable value = 1 }
}
I like your idea, and will most likely implement it. I think culture would be the best way to implement this, at least if I make an event that flags the elf (or really any character for that matter) for having been born into elven culture. If they have the flag but do not have the culture, they would start getting the events.

From what I’ve seen, the code CK2 uses for events is powerful enough to do a lot of complex modding, hence the presence of total conversion mods. That said, it is in my non-professional opinion, ugly as sin.

you know luxuria fantasia abilities to make custom religion you can make a weight gaining one

For modders; if you are making any events that require your character’s to not be immobile, add this line to the trigger for the event/decision: “NOT = { trait = temporary_obesity }” this is the trait that (will/does) triggers the temporary obesity events I’ve just made. Best used for events that require the character to move in the narrative or if the event requires you to be a specific weight level (since the event pseudo pauses the weight gain events, though the weight pulse is still active)

It might be appropriate to make another thread when you release the next update so you can update the OP.

Almost done with the temporary obesity core system, I just need to fine tune a few things yet. I also wanted to have at least one small event chain because I had thought out how exactly it would work and didn’t want to forget it, I also wanted to give a small demo of what that system will have to offer. Here is the event;

after about three turns of being immobile, there is a chance (pretty much a guarantee at this point) of a lustful, fat fetishist character being generated and sneaking into your room at night with a large amount of food in a basket. A servant girl if you are a male without the homosexual trait or female with the homosexual trait, or a male guard if you are a female without the homosexual trait or a male with the homosexual trait. At this point you can either hear what they have to say or call the guards to remove the intruder. If you hear them out, they will be a bit coy in their intentions stating that the character must be hungry and offers the food in the basket. You will again have the option to call the guards or go along with it. If you go along with it, your timer to be cured of temporary obesity will go up by 5 (the same as gorging on food) as well as the counter for the amount of weight that will be gained/lost will go up by 1. The event will then go onto the final stage of this encounter. After eating, the fetishist will go onto comment on your character’s figure and become more forward in their intentions. If you are a female character with one of the specialized body shapes you will get a unique event description related to that body part, otherwise you’ll get a more general comment if you don’t have any of the modifiers or are a male. They will state they actually want to keep you this way and want to become your lover. You can still call the guards here or go along with their request. If you go along with the request they will become your lover, and if the pairing is maleXfemale there is a chance either you or they will become pregnant (which will have some content associated with it later). If they are not imprisoned by the end of the event, they will periodically while you are temporarily obese have popup events to feed you again (but later visits will be more food than before, and thus extends the timer variable more than before) and roll for pregnancy again. If you are fed enough times while not having any fetish trait you will get the feedee fetish. There is a third option for these visits though, you can share the extra food with the feeder increasing their weight level by 5. If they get the fat trait while they are your lover and you don’t have a fetish trait, you get the option to pick up the fat fetish trait. One last thing for the future, there will also be events if they somehow get the temporarily obese trait while you are still ballooned up yourself. This event chain is not localized yet.

The next post I make, outside of potential replies, will be the updated mod

Oh, that’s a cool flavor event that I’m excited to see implemented into the actual mod itself! Good job!

Side Reminder: I might get back into trying to program some of my old, broken events as planned, so there’s that to look forward to!

actually I just had an idea, you didn’t want AI to debt the realm too much but what if there was an event for it? a sort of populace questioning of your gluttony while they have low prosperity (if you have that DLC) and low cash?

Progress report: I’ve fixed, and essentially finished the bakery dates. As mentioned before, it’s a one-way method for someone to be fattened up, and is much more likely to be chosen by either kind lovers(who will want to buy their partner some sweets, aww!) or by fat fetishist lovers(who know a bakery is a nice way to get someone to become rotund). The AI checks for the event every 4 months so it happens at a realistic rate, but it may be a bit too rapid for some.

Anyway, I’ll be off to work on my other event project: stuffing sessions. I only have one difficulty, and that’s trying to make it so that both parties have the “revealed fat/feedee fetish to me” opinion modifiers before the event can fire off.

After that’s done, I’ll work on the ultimate difficult problem: the “Fatten Focus” thing I had planned, where a fat fetishist can choose to subtly increase someone’s weight over time, with a random selection of events firing every so many months that can raise the target’s physique by 1 or 2(or the person on the receiving end is temperate, in which case, it probably won’t work).

Whatever happens to these events doesn’t matter, just want to see if I can work on them. It’ll be slow progress considering I’ve got a ton of IRL stuff on the side.

I have fixed the landless AI debting themselves from dinner dates, however I still can make events related to debt if the character is gluttonous and is still in debt. I still had to fix this because whenever the AI would get into debt, it would always be crippling. You would play your first generation character, have a nice little war chest built for a count or duke (200 gold or so) then you would die and your lustful gluttonous son would come in with his -500 gold debt, lowering the treasury to -300 which is just way to much debt for any character that isn’t emperor tier. I still can do these events though, especially since the AI is already kind of bad at managing money, so they’d still fire off. Maybe vassals will get events as well if their liege indebted themselves with gluttony. I’ll have to figure how it would work out exactly, but thank you for the suggestion, I like it :slightly_smiling_face:.

Depending on how you structure the event, you may only need one character to know about the the other person’s fetish, but if you need both to be revealed for your event/decision/description here is an example of how to make it work. I commented both examples to make it a bit easier to understand (hopefully). Although you can’t just copy and paste the triggers whole cloth into a decision.

EDIT: Link to the mod’s main project thread: Fatocracy - A Crusader Kings 2 (Base game now free to play) weight gain expansion mod - General Games / Mods - Weight Gaming

Here is the update with all the work I got done while I was on vacation. It’ll be a couple days until I can work on it again due to travel, but here are the things I’ve gotten done while on vacation:

  1. 25-29 year old characters have a 25% chance of having an event chain related to them struggling with their lower metabolic rate.

  2. MasterOfLillies has kindly donated his localization of a few events.

  3. Many bugs were fixed

  4. I finished the clothing bursting/tearing event chains (not localized)

  5. potion system has been made (only self consumption), currently it acts as more of a debugging system then anything balanced since the potions are still free from the shop. If you don’t own the way of life dlc, you will need to type in a console command to get to the events.
    It adds potions for simple weight gain, changing your female character’s body types, a potion that gives you the gluttonous trait and makes you gain +2 stewardship until the gluttonous trait is lost, a potion to force giving yourself one of the fetishes if you don’t already have one, and finally a potion that makes your character rapidly gain weight (but not with the weight variable).

  6. Started work on rebalancing the weight system, mostly by changing how the AI chooses their diets now. I also fixed the AI getting into massive debt from the dinner date events.

  7. Completed the structure and one event chain of the temporary obese state. Also added a hedonist and bored variables to the event. Bored will lead to negative events that might give you stressed or depressed. Hedonism variable will give you more events/options that involve food and sexual activity (mostly involving the fetish traits). People with the hedonist trait will always have 100 hedonism value. Boredom increases by 5 every turn on it’s own.

Not as much as I thought I got done, but the clothing events were a huge time sink due to scripting errors and just how large they were, they were easily the largest events I have made so far. Thankfully though, they shouldn’t need to be worked on much more (outside of localization). The fantasy elements won’t be given much more attention until all of the core aspects are in place. The only thing that might constitute as a fantasy element that I may or may not work on soon is integrating the other Luxuria Fantasia races into the mod, I can think of a few fun things I can do with the Kitsune, Divines, and Demons already. Sorry I had to delete the previous post, I’m not allowed to post three consecutive times without someone replying to me, editing an existing post, or deleting one of the three posts.

with the temporary obese states are you supposed to be incapable.

More or less, yeah. It doesn’t add the incapable trait, but it does put the little modifier on the character.

ok thanks loving the mod just want make sure

Yo, this mod is awesome. So much more sophisticated than anything I could’ve made.
Keep up the great work!!!

I forgot something, for those without the way of life dlc, (which I’d highly recommend getting because it will be one of the most used dlcs for my mod and it’s just really good in general) to get to the potion shop and potion system, type in “event FATTENPOTION.2” into the console.
