Still an issue: The game softlocks after making a character now. I did try to load up my modded save with the new version but that didnt help cuz I kept crashing when entering villages. Gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling the game

That fixed it. Nvm. But I deleted my old save anyways… Ah well, wasnt that far in. Thanks for the mod still

there are occasional things like that where i’m not sure if it’s just a fact of playing modded Qud or if there’s something I can do to fix it, I want to do a big optimization/compatibility pass soon since I’m a bit burnt out on doing new sprites atm

Heya! been playing the mod and I was wondering how dose one get their hands on a weight scale?

Weight scales are treated as an artifact-type item that you have to identify whenever you find one in your run. Relatively new to the game so not 100 percent sure how it treats this system, but your best bet is to buy from an NPC that sells artifacts, or hope you’re lucky enough to find one in the wild!

Can probably spawn one in too through debug or something, but play long enough and I’m sure you can find one authentically!

Thanks! I feared that it was that some things are guaranteed to be sold by certain people like the Corpus Choliys by the mayor of Kyakukya of the Joppa start I don’t know about other starts but I was hoping it was like that but now I just gotta hope it’s not too expensive :stuck_out_tongue:

it shouldn’t beeeee? it should be a bit more costly than a folding chair, i might add a guaranteed one to one of the merchants in ezra or yd freehold

they should also have a chance to spawn in random ruins like folding chairs do but wehh who knows how rare it really is, hard to tell with these things

It’s definitely pretty random: had one show up around level 5-7 in one run, while I haven’t seen one at level 11+ yet, despite actively looking for artifacts/trinkets, and also successfully examining most of them, or fixing the ones I do break.

Knowing me, I’d just plop it down in Joppa and get a kick out of NPCs randomly passing over it for weight readouts (at least, I’m pretty sure it worked on NPCs if I’m remembering right…) but won’t say no to a more reliable obtainment method!

speaking of fun things to do with this mod

hey! i’m new here but i ran into a problem with sprites?
when i make a new character with dynamic wg enabled, it still uses the fat sprite to begin with. the problem is that, when i go up a weight stage, there is no sprite to change to and so it just displays my character as an ā€œ@ā€.

other than that though, there’s so much hard work put into this mod and it’s really cool

edit: it seems to work fine for the preset sprites but it was specifically the farmer calling i had trouble with. i’m assuming it’s the same for all of the callings.

edit 2: when i went back down to ā€œleanā€ the sprite stayed as an ā€œ@ā€, which i didn’t expect tbh

Are you using ChooseYourFighter?

no, this is the only mod i have installed
