Mod where mobs can eat you. Still in progress with MCreator.

Zombies, spiders, creepers, and Enderman have a 25% chance of swallowing you. This can be changed in a later update with enchantments. It strikes when they attack you, but you need to attack creepers for the chance to occur.

Break two blocks in the stomach to escape and get “Guts” before dying from stomach acid. Work immediately to break them before the Creeper blows you up inside of it.

New major version of the mod!

Version 1.1.0 (Forge 1.20.1)

  • Created different color/ size variations for each belly with their own acid effects
    (Zombie acid is half the digestion rate of regular, Ender is double, Creeper blows you up if you’re not fast enough)
  • Created the “Guts” and “Cooked Guts” and made one for each variation
  • Zombie Guts work just like Rotton Flesh with the 80% chance to give hunger effect
  • Cooking Creeper Guts causes a blow up just like a Creeper after grabbing it from the Furnace or whatever, killing you
  • Eating Creeper Guts blows you up without breaking blocks
  • Eating all guts have different Advancements/ Achievements, along with cooking them

Nutrition Value:

  • Guts: 2 Hunger points, 1.4 saturation (a little higher than raw porkchop/ raw mutton in saturation)
  • Cooked Guts: 6 Hunger Points, 8 saturation (in between cooked pork/ cooked mutton in saturation)
  • Zombie Guts/ Cooked Zombie Guts: 4 Hunger points, 0.8 saturation (matching Rotten Flesh. Cooked just takes away Hunger chance)
  • Creeper Guts: Same as Guts but will kill you as soon as consumed
  • Ender Guts: 3 Hunger Points, 1.8 saturation (matching raw beef/ rabbit)
  • Cooked Ender Guts: 8 Hunger Points, 12.8 saturation (matching steak)

Bug Fixes:

  • Changed mod loader to Forge and Minecraft version to 1.20.1
  • Players no longer take teleportation damage upon being eaten
  • Drowned no longer eats players
  • Fixed bug of falling through world
  • Supposedly fixed inconsistent drop bug
  • Fixed bug that dying after breaking only one gut block allowed you to only break one more after being eaten again

Not yet. I plan for both in the future. It’s still in progress but I wanted to get the basics down as I haven’t really seen many “mob eat player” mods. Still gotta figure out how to update the models and such.

You should see if you can make it compatible with other mods for easy convenience

Which other ones? I did forge 1.20.1 for Mawcraft, Vivevraft, and Cobblemon. But MCreator lets me port it, it just seems to hate fabric so I can’t do fabric.

as the lead code dev for JAB: Compatability with our mod would require an API on our end, which isn’t going to happen for probably a few updates. That said, such a feature is an eventual planned feature.

We’re still new to coding so we aren’t sure how to do api stuff yet but we can look into it for compatibility. Future updates will come for this mod too.

Are you able to add compatibility with optifine please?

We’ll need to look into optifine and how to make mods compatible with it for the next update (which will likely focus on enchantments). We’re still new to modding and are using MCreator. Gonna take a college class on Java later.

Any plans for something big?
This is a really good mod and i dont want to see it die early if at all

Is there a dependency I’m missing or something because the game just crashes when I try to load it with forge. The minecraft version is 1.20.1
