As you can see I’m new here and would just like to try out a visual novel. I’m not very used to forums so I get confused when trying to located games. Any help would mean a lot, thanks.

Hello there and welcome to the forum. If you are looking for games one helpful place to check out would be A user maintained list of games - Projects - Weight Gaming.
I also made a post to another new user who wanted some game recommendations. Just click the “hello im new” hyperlink. (Although, they are not all VNs.)
You can also look at the category tags like #projects or #curated-projects. These will have a lot of the games that are in the site. There is even one for #visual-novel.
Only, mine’s broke down and now I’ve no one to love.
