Project F.A.T. v1.8.6 - Completion

I’m not sure how helpful it is to mention this, but one of the biggest reasons that I avoid voring any NPCs besides thieves and bandits (besides fetish preferences) is because I like to imagine that every person who sticks around is a potential fatty in the making.

On a more relevant note, I’ve reached a point in the game where I can’t tell if I’ve run out of content or just don’t know what to do next. Keeping my corruption at -1 for the entire game, I made my way into the castle, fought and lost to the queen, and got the second dose of serum. I also found the way back into the castle through the forest and sewers, but unless I missed something, there doesn’t seem to be anything else to do in the castle. I saw some posts about the princess in the noble district, but she tells me to piss of every time I try to talk to her. Lastly, I only have three recipe books when the game clearly says that there are more recipes to discover. Is there more content that I’m just missing? Do I just need to grind my stats until I can beat the Queen?

One more thing. The rewards for dancing at Jigglers need to be reigned in. They start out reasonable enough, but their rapid, uncapped scaling quickly makes it a joke to amass tens of millions of gold.

Edit: I forgot to mention the bug in which buying stuff from the Casino’s VIP store returns all of your tokens upon exiting the menu.

I had a similar thought about the NPC in the slums who’s obsessed with what humans taste like. What if there were a way to help her experience that firsthand, instead of just telling her as you eat her? It might make for an interesting quest line…

Anyway, I’ve been thinking a bit about how the eating contest minigame could be made more interactive. I’ve come up with a new rule set that would help accomplish that. It’s more complex–maybe too much so–but since I spent some time on it, I figure I might as well share it anyway. Feel free to toss the idea if it sounds like a load of crock to you.

  1. There are only 3 dishes on the table. Each contestant chooses one of the three, and if they choose the same one, they split it for half the points and fullness.
  2. If a dish is not chosen in a given round, another plate of that dish is stacked on top of what’s already there, increasing the value of that dish. (For example, if Fried Rice is normally worth 2 points and 6 fullness, then if it doesn’t get chosen, it will be worth 4 points and 12 fullness next round, and then 6 points and 18 fullness the round after that, etc.) For the sake of clarity, each stack would be labeled with the updated values each round when you’re deciding what to do.
  3. If you try to eat a stack you don’t have room for, you’ll get filled to the max and the value of the stack will reset, but you won’t receive any points, since you didn’t finish eating the stack. (However, if you have enough room for half of the stack and you split it with the opponent, you’ll receive half points as usual.)

And here are some possible special moves for the later opponents to use:

  1. Greedily snatch the whole stack instead of splitting it.
  2. Grab two stacks (same as current; can split a stack if necessary). No points awarded unless both stacks are eaten successfully.
  3. Belch to reduce fullness and stun the opponent so they can’t take a stack on that turn. (Does not prevent belly rubbing or belching.)

Haha, That might be a thing in future… Maybe not for all people, but a lot will have perhaps a fatty quest component. Usually if they have a name or a face graphic, that can be deemed slightly important.

DId you do Isabelle’s quest? If you did, the fight should be easier. The other two ways of “weakening” the queen is eating all the maids in the castle and clearing out the kitchen area in a binge. But if your going for a purity route, you can’t. I would say just grind stats out.

Yeah, apparantely dancing is very lucrative in this world. It will be fixed. Most likely to a flat amount, since I’d rather not have people makes millions of gold in 5 minutes…

The casino bug is a first. I’ll have a look at it.

Which recipe books did you find? Highly likely I forgot to add one since I did most of that event in about an hour…
The princess is currently bugged (Well sort of) since she’s tied to the contest hall. For now, once you beat the Queen, the game’s content is over.

She will get a special route just for her. and will be based on your corruption stat will see how far she takes it…

I do like the ideas, but I already have something jotted down and currently working through.
It goes like this:
You can choose a Small, Medium or Large Plate. Their fullness values are randomised at the beginning of each contest. (and displayed each round so you dont have to remember them). Based on how much fullness they give, they are worth different points. For the early stages, it’s very simplistic, you eat, rub your belly and eat more. As you progress through the ranks, the AI will have some gimmicks, like an attempt to steal your food. This will require you to input a particular button. If successful, you block them and that ends their turn. Otherwise, they eat the food and you lose the points.

The stack idea is cool. But it runs the risk of getting very variable heavy and alot of things can go wrong very fast. I may include that idea in a different part of the game at a later date.

Regarding npcs I think that eloise should also be a fattening candidate, and the coctail girl too, I think in her case it could be simpler like for example each time you give her new ingredients she has to “try” (aka engorge herself) with her new product, maybe something similar can be done with eloise? And btw I did the demon in big mama’s old house thing and I suppose there could be some sidequest for the 0 corruption route? Maybe even have a chance to see big mama as an npc and not a character you occasionally hear about

Oh thats kind of nifty. I do have plans to improve on Eloise and Julia eventually. I will probably re-do alot
of their sprites since I lost the originals and trying to recreate it is a pain in the butt. I’ll probably add cut-outs into the guide to help people distinguish who’s who. oh and a name box, but sometimes I do forget those…

Is Isabelle the rival character? If so, then I’ve fought her a few times, the last of which was at the castle gate. If there are any encounters with her after that, then I haven’t triggered them yet.

I found recipe books 1 through 3, acquired through the Fairy Wings cook, the Supermarket, and the castle library, respectively.

As a side note, shortly after I made my last comment, I found the computer in the castle containing information about Doctor Largo. After that, I finally got some unique dialogue from Princess Tiana, thereby reaching the end of the main quest line.

She is the rival. The last fight is the castle gate. Which means you just need to train a bit more to up your stats. Since the difference between both Queens is very noticeable.

Ah I’m glad that it worked. As I update the guide a bit more, should make it clearer on how to progress.

Hi! , after losing to the queen for the first time, how do you face the boss once again as the castle door is closed?

You need to go to the forest, you should be able to access the sewers now. Follow the path and you’ll come out in the castle library.

Probably my second favourite RPGMaker game: really diggin the freedom and sandboxiness plus variety of scenarios

however i gotta ask, am i supposed to be killing everything in one hit? it doesn’t seem right, and the guide mentions having some spare room for the multiplying slimes which i had no idea could feed you because i’ve killed them all in one hit. I’ve got the game on easy for the extra time to experience everything, but if that’s what made me pretty much indestructible then i’ll start a freshy on medium or so next update

That’s probably a mistake I made. Check your stats, if they show they are over 500, go to equip and remove my “testing” sword. Otherwise, you probably are just overstatted. Unfortunately, I havent made a good balance for enemies. They are either pathetic or impossible…

But I’m glad you like it!

What’s your 1st fav game? Just curious.

Some Bullshit
ticks so many boxes its like it was made for me specifically

Did you remember to implement my sprite updates this time?

Yes :stuck_out_tongue: they are the most recent ones I had.

Good boy, now I can have a nice comfy replay of the game without getting to the sprites that are BROKEN and AWFUL.
Did you strip us of cheater sword power, too? I didn’t comment on it before, and should have, but I really enjoyed steamrolling the game without having to worry.

I did. It was too much power for one person to handle…

First the secret castle key, now the cheater sword that wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place, where’m I supposed to get my game-breaker fix now?
