Hi Everyone,
I have made another short story with Clinko. Both of us are pretty big Columbo fans and I wanted to make something in that vein. Tried to put in a bunch of references but also keep it fun and related to the characters that you know.
Please take a look and let me know if you had a good time or enjoyed it. If you run into bugs, please also let me know about that, as something this short and small should be bug free! Lastly, saving mid game is not recommended! Should be short enough that it isn’t too much of an issue.

Any idea what the name of the jazzy song that plays at the very start of the game is called?
I ripped it from a Columbo episode as the credits, though, I am not going to lie, I forget which episode! A lot of the music is from the show. The soundtracks I found on youtube included some background sounds sometime, so you can hear a car in one of the themes. But I wanted to use Columbo music to get the tone right.

Just wanted to report a bug I found: if you try to talk to Clara again from this tile after speaking with her for the first time, the game softlocks and there’s no way to progress.

Ah, yes, you are supposed to jump back there when you talk to her, which you can’t do if you talk from that side. I did not think of that. I’ll put in a fix, though I probably won’t update it until I am sure there are not too many other bugs.

I hope we get more vore related episodes. Especially for Eola, she’s my third favorite after Clara and Emmie.
Fun little mystery and glad to see some of the side characters getting some more screentime! Gotta say as much as I enjoyed it came from lantrum really been liking these oneshot style additions.
Now I just need to perform some dark rituals to get one featuring the brewmaster and the harem girls

Just played this. Was really fun “mystery” and the Columbo references were great. Also seeing new sprites and portraits was a big treat as well. (Also I swear, this is like the second or third time that Nerds has released something during a business trip of mine lol).
This was the playtime at the end of playing it: 
I really enjoyed how Pro and Zyn bonded for a quick second over their love of chests. They really are two sides of the same coin (at least in terms of chest lovers). Hydee being cute and comfy as ever sleeping when she can. Also Clara breaking the laws of reality and even turning to dust during the initial cake scene was hilarious. I swear Clara becomes more powerful the more chocolate she’s given.
Overall, I really enjoyed the format of this little mini-adventure and following how Pro “investigates” the crime of the missing pantry of food. I did think there was going to be a “double twist” at the end where the food Emmie stole was going to be missing because someone else had actually stolen from that chest. My thoughts immediately starting thinking goblin shenanigans. But I also really enjoyed the fact that Pro just knew Emmie would probably do something like this the entire time and had prepared two sets of food beforehand. So, really he was just playing all of this up to mess with Emmie a bit.
One final note. It is interesting that this is the “baby shower” for Heidi, which does give some frame of reference for when “To Catch an Emmie” happens (AKA this happens before that story). Not that any of this is in an incredibly strict timeline or anything. So things could change around, but was just something interesting I wanted to mention.
But, yeah, overall great mini-adventure.

Got the chance to play “Now you see her” and, as usual, it was great! Hilarious dialogue, especially with Clara “Disintegrates into dust when denied chocolate” Van Damm. Always love me more Heidi, too, but the highlight for me was Pro(lumbo) as he is the character whose writing i love the most. Always full of surprises.
I wonder if we will see Pro and Zyntris going from “mortal enemies” to “mildly tolerate eachother”?

Just played through “Now You See Her” and wanted to chime in my thoughts to say I’m really impressed. I was expecting something shorter in length like Interrogation Time, which would have been fine, but this was a pleasant surprise. Loved seeing the whole cast again, and I’d forgotten how much I missed Pro. Top-notch SB humor throughout as well.
P.S. Now you’re obligated to name the next short story “Now You Don’t”, lol.

All these end game projects kind of make me wish Zyntris had arrived in the story or joined the party sooner. She’s growing into a compelling character.
Oh well, maybe someday!

Very well done, loved the dialogue and while not really familiar with Columbo I still found the interactions and style entertaining and fun to play through. As always great to see more from you and clinko, you guys never miss.
