Starbound Big Fatties: Bug Reports

and out of vision, I use the F.U. mod too

Okay there is a lot to go through.
Such as first of all, you don’t need the expanding clothes expansion anymore.
Second, are those two paks of Bigfatties or is one of them a zipped folder?
Three. Due to the internal changes mentioned, you should take functionality of addons with a grain of salt.

for the two Bigfatties zipp, one is on .PAK file (when I unpack) and the other on a .ZIP file (original form)… and I use WinRar to unpack some file…

Regardless you’re gonna have to go through your modlist.

… of steam too or only in the file mod ?

Prioritize addons intended for the mod. The likely explanation for why things are broken for you and no one else is something being messed up from an addon.

I will trying to remove all adon… the mod… the mod seems to work a little more ā€œcorrectlyā€

but I want to know the file of adons which causes dysfunctions …

I will search by myself … and maybe finding the problem will help some community user as well as you

and I’m sorry to be a lil’ bit salty when i meet some problem…

found it!

it is actually the addons file ā€œExpanding Clothesā€ wich make some problem…

prevenet all addon owners ā€œExpanding Clothesā€ to delete it from the mod folder!

the other addon look like doen’t make any problem

I think there may be an animation misalignment with the new clothing function. It’s something I only noticed in passing while plump while wearing Protectorate gear in the new interface. Not the extra clothes provided through the scale. I noticed it in the feet/pants region. I’m only running Jelly Slimes and Big Food alongside the base mod. I started as an Avali.
I’d test more at different sizes to provide a more conclusive finding, but this was a passing accident before I departed at work. I can test other outfits at different sizes about eight hours from now, if you would prefer before troubleshooting.

I also did encounter crewmates taking a turn on the feeding tube and finding my character packing the pounds, but that was also before the new patch, so I’m uncertain if it’s a persisting issue. I’ve read that crewmates need to first pack on a few pounds elsewhere before they can take advantage of the feeding tube, but it’s not something I’ve tested yet, either.

Bug report with the new WIP. Looks like when you equip clothing through the new interface, once you get to sizes that clothing isnt supported for that size, the game keeps looking for the non-existant files and greatly slows down the game. So far everything else seems fine. I’ll edit this post with any other things i find.

I got a bit of a bug, too. If you get a duplicate of the base item, the mod just eats it. Fully. It just vanishes into the void. Lost a loooot of pixels that way.
TBH, not a fan of this change. Can’t have different outfits for different sizes and such.

so does granular work or not

Currently, with the reworks, no. The granular sub-mod team will need to update their mod to work with the current WIP if they so wish for it to function properly.

My character continuously gained weight when I played in survival mode. Not sure why, just want to report it.
Interestingly enough, she wasn’t gaining weight when she spawned into the game. Instead, when some cultists attacked her with the milkshake gun, she slowly gained more fat until it was obvious to me that she was immobile-bound. It tooks like ~30 minutes for all of the weight to accumulate, but it happened.

It sounds like you took a lot of hits during the fight. By my understanding, fat is packed on slowly based on what they ate and how much they ate it. Gotta digest it all and turn it into fat, and your character had a lot of milkshake to burn through.

I dunno. My character fought them while skinny and is currently at fatty level. I’ve never seen anything like this, ever. I’ll continue to play and see what happens. If she gets to immobile it’s gotta be a bug, since she only fought them for like 30 seconds.
EDIT: It appears that you were right. After grinding on the treadmill, my character started to loose hunger and the weight gain stopped. I guess she was just really overstuffed from the fight?

Brief testing, and it seems the vanishing clothes and chugging of framerates is indeed a bug with the current version.

Do you think you can define the animation misalignment more? I’m not noticing anything upon testing some clothes at various sizes through the ui. You said you’re using an Avali, does that have anything to do with it? They have a more unique shape that isn’t compatible with most vanilla clothes and by extension most of the clothes in this mod.

You should say that in the appropriate post then so that the creator can work on that. I didn’t make the modfatties races addon. This is for bugs with the main mod.

It’s most likely simply due to the fact that the Avali have a more unique body shape. I’m sorry, I didn’t actually realize that all of the races shared the same body structures, so that clothes could easily be copy/pasted over each body.

This is just a quick example of what I was getting at. Notice the end of the boot compared to the foot set further back. But it’s not a point of concern, now, since I now see that even slim, the outfit doesn’t, well, fit. Heck, even looking at it now, I now see the arms don’t fit, either. Oh well.

Any thoughts or words on feeding tanks fattening the player when used by NPCs, or did I answer my own question/was it explained elsewhere?
