Starbound Big Fatties: Bug Reports

Yeah that’s just Avali being Avali. Only way to fix it would to have clothing specifically built for them.
As for the feeding tube thing, that’s harder to narrow down due to having to wait on npcs to use them. As well as the result never happening all the time. So it’ll probably take some time to identify if it still exists.

Maybe I’ll work on some clothes for Avali, just as a personal thing. I’unno. I’m new to Starbound (thanks for making it so enticing) so I’m still learning what shenanigans are in store for me.

Decided to try out how NPCs reacted to the feeding tube with the new patch. The player character doesn’t seem to be putting on weight, but, uh…

Oh, wait, no. Manually interacting with it while they’re up there lets them start drinking properly. Still applying weight to the player, sadly.

So, I’m not sure why, but I can’t fatten any of my tenants. I’m using NPCSpawner+ and the Tenantator to make my own custom NPCs.
Crew will fatten, but they immediately return to the Protectorate uniform.
Chef Tenants in the Chef outfit (unmodified) will grow, however. I am very confused.

you gotta trigger it first with the milkshakegun

How else do you make them grow, really?
Of course I’ve already shot them with the growth stuff. I wouldn’t be making this bug report if I didn’t.

oh well then im sorry i dont know what to say maybe try deleting the mod and downloading it

I’ve already updated. This isn’t an issue with the update.
It’s been an issue for a while.

help please. I have this problem after updatingunknown unknown unknown unknownunknown

i found a error in the weight gain system

So, I seem to be having a bug of some kind, or maybe I’m just an idiot.

I seem to be getting some immense chunking of my FPS when fiddling with the BF mod settings while not using the new clothes UI.

When just wearing normal clothes/armor, if I were to hit the larger weight sizes or toggle the “Thick Thighs” or “Busty Chest” options while skinny, it causes me immense FPS loss. I still get the appropriately sized weight applied to me, it just makes the game come to a crawl.

However, if I do so while wearing some of the compatible clothes, like the hoodie and jeans, the FPS loss doesn’t occur.
Character in question is a human, so not a modded race, and I am running on a mostly vanilla set up.
Mods in question are:
Big Fatties
Quick Bar Mini
Mod Fatties Races (I also tried to remove this to see if it was the problem, and nothing changed.)
Cutebound
Lastree and Make Lastree Cutebound ( Also tried removing these and nothing changed.)
And a few UI only mods to change the chat window for readability and allowing me to spawn vanilla only items. (removing these also did nothing.)

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, the character itself is not an older one, when the update came I wiped all my old characters an started clean.

Strange thing. Committing vorish acts causes some major lag until the victim or victims have fully digested. Same mods, only Jelly Slimes and Big Foods alongside the base.

EDIT: Alright, I think I figured out the source of the lag. It’s the stuffed/filled belly effect, which doesn’t seem to appear until you start to get thick. I haven’t been packing on the pounds like I should, actually trying to play, so having indulged just a bit and seeing this in effect enlightened me to the issue.

Due to the new way weight works, it conflicts with the mod Phase Shift Module, severely slowing down non-downwards movement. Is there a way to fix this, or is it Phase Shift’s fault?

Whenever you use the milkshake gun on a crewmember that’s wearing a different outfit (via the tailor) it will switch the outfit back to the protectorate uniform when going up a weight level

alright, idk if it was something on my end, but I tried to use the swimsuit thingy, and I bought the normal swimsuit pack, then my game crashed, and when I tried to reload, a big ol error thing popped up

nevermind! found the problem! I dont have the other damn mods installed, fuck im dumb

Hopefully this response isn’t coming in too late, but this is less a “Phase Shift” issue and more of a sweeping effect in general. I use RPG Growth which includes techs that allow for a few methods of limited gliding/flying, but said techs go from being inhibited to nullified entirely at higher weights – think of it as “increased weight = increased gravity”.

Assuming your issue is something like that, as opposed to being slowed down at any weight (which would probably indeed imply a conflict) then you’ll have to either keep your weight low or deactivate the BF UI entirely until you finish using the tech.

ok…so I thought I had it correct, turns out I was not…what mods in all do I need to run the actual big fatties mod?

Are you confusing the addons made by other people as somehow being a requirement for the main mod? The ones who made those addons aren’t really affiliated in any way with the main mod. The only thing required in order to access the ui is the QuickbarMini mod which is included with the mod.

Ello! Lovin the mod so far! The npc weight gain issue still persists. When they drink, the player gets fat, and on rare occasion, the npc will not gain and the player will. Any update on this?

I just cant use the swimsuit thing for some reason, it keeps posting that error message…hmm…might do a risky thing and try it on the not unstable one real quick
