oh, alr
thanks for notifying
With the changes coming for the forums, do Devs have plan to transition the project to a new location, if so where?
Considering mods aren’t being effected by the current plans, we don’t really have any reason to worry about needing to move.
looking back at an old video of how to even get this mod (10 months ago) i saw a link for the big fatties mod and i dont see it anymore
where can i get that cuz it seems to me that i need it for other mods
Big Fatties is the old, outdated, and pretty bad, version of Starpounds. It was only kept up while I considered Starpounds not ready. It’s a complete rework of the mod so any old unofficial Big Fatties addons will not work with Starpounds.
ah, i see
thanks for clarifying
tho, what mods do actually work with this
all the ones im seeing here work for big fatties and not starpounds (ones that arent just race mods)
If they say it’s for Big Fatties, it won’t work with Starpounds. It’s that simple.
goood to know……………….
I know this might be a stretch, but could support be added to this mod? I like mouse and rat girls. This is a recent development. The link is buggy, so I’ll also put an image down. Steam Community :: Error
Of course the link would break. -_-
So this may have been answered before, but I can’t get past thick in the base outfit, is this intentional, a glitch, do I need a new outfit?
Nvm, just wasn’t full enough
No. Read the responses to any of the other dozens of race compatibility requests. If you want an additional race supported, you will have to do the work yourself.
I guess I’m sol. Not able to do that, or pay for a commission.
While it may be intimidating the actual work involved is very simple, just time consuming. Truthfully adding a species to the mod is just adding it’s creation name to a list of around 5-6 files, or about 5-6 sentences of code; a bit more if you want it to be specialized.
The actual time consuming factor is doing the sprites. There’s a template file that you can use pre-baked into the mod, so you just take the species you want to convert, plug its name into the template(make sure to make backups of the template of course). And then edit all the files to match the species you want to add. This is just editing sprites really.
That said it takes a good couple hours to do a sprite, if you want it to actually look good and test it. Then you have to do that with a 100+ sprites. It’s not difficult nor is it complicated, in fact it’s very simple. That said it is also very time consuming. Like multiple weeks unless you have a great deal of free time.
If you really like a race, you can always adapt it to the mod. But it is asking a lot to ask someone with a full plate; doing all their stuff voluntarily mind you, to add upwards of a month worth work.
But again it’s very easy to do this yourself if you have the time. And truthfully starbound is one of the best starts to learning how to mod games as everything is in open lua.
I tried using Figura for Minecraft to make chunky characters. I needed help every time I made a change to a single line, because it would just stop working, and no matter what I did, or how many times I looked at my code, I couldn’t figure out what I had done wrong. I’m completely incompetent. I want to learn this, but I can’t figure it out for the life of me. I can’t even figure out Blender. The best I did was a robot femboy that looks awful. The face was flat, and the model was low poly, yet somehow looked uglier than lower poly models. I’ve been trying to find ways to earn money so I can commission people for this sort of work, but I’m still searching. Getting a job might be impossible given the circumstances, and my heart health, so I might be looking at streaming, which I’m not opposed to, I’d just like to have a more solid way to make money that doesn’t involve leeching off of taxpayer dollars. I hate the idea of being a leech, or even a burden to anyone, which is why I just dropped it when I was told not to ask. I can at least draw somewhat decently, so I have that, but meh.
Figured I’d post a little sneak peak of an upcoming skill. (Lets you ignore capacity for a short window after eating, and is refreshed each time you eat something)
