I am curious about something. You could get, well, REALLY big in the old version. Like you-almost-fill-the-screen big. Is there going to be similar sizes in this new version? And, if so, will there be any content geared towards a player that has gotten that huge?
If I recall, that was only added because development was coming to an end and not for any practical reasons.

I would personally be conflicted if the player can get as big as almost filling the entire screen. One the one hand, that would be great for the folks who are really into ridiculous sizes like me. But on a gameplay standpoint, it would be detrimental to cover up most of the map because your character’s too bulky. It made more sense for the old version’s traps that resulted in immobility and respawning at the hotel, but it would certainly make continuing to play the game frustrating and difficult to have such an oversized sprite covering everything.
it would probably not be hard to make it easier to know where things are behind the player. you could make outlines for intractable things that only show up when the player is in the way of them for example
Seems like the kind of thing that could be involved in a map-change event or something. Like, once you reach a certain point, you have the option at that size to either remain conveniently non-screen-filling, or move to a new tileset where you take up much less screenspace, but represents a much larger area to rampage across. Perhaps anything from earlier on you’d still need access to being available through interacting with a sprite of the main strip.
Oh, is that similar to how a lot of RPGs would have the main character be the size of a town when in the overworld? But if that’s the case, wouldn’t that mean having to draw a second map for oversized characters in the “zoomed out” world?
Hadn’t thought of it that way, but maybe! And yeah, he would have to draw a second map, so it’s probably a pipe dream. Still, fun to think about.
I’m super late in catching up on everything in here, but there is huge sizes planned and specific content planned for it. But, none of it is really implemented yet.

Multiple people have brought this up and I gotta be honest idk how to reply to everyone so I just hope ya’ll see this but: I had thought of this concept. I’d LIKE to do something like this with a more limited map, but we’ll see. For now though, there is an ending planned for kaiju-size.
I haven’t checked this site in weeks, has anything about a possible expanded (if ya catch the joke hehehe) cowgirl form been said? I personally wouldn’t mind seeing a couple more of breast levels.

(As an aside, this seems like the most relevant place to ask since I don’t want to necro the other thread but did we ever get a guide for Super Fatty Office Sim and how to get the endings? Sorry if I’m obnoxious for asking, was just curious after replaying it and I’m just a huge fan of like everything you do so yea c:.)

He made one. It’s called Super Fatty Office Administrator SIM. Unless you mean something else with “management style”, of course.
yeah I ment more like “empire” management. managing resources and stuff.
To be honest? A previous experiment to remake SFRPG was starting to bleed into a city management sim wherein you could fatten the entire population by building fast foods/buffets and beat out the current “healthy living” trends (a lot of on the nose humor about all that). But it ended up being a lot to juggle and I spent too much time flip-flopping between deciding what I WANTED to make because it was clear a game like that couldn’t be anything like SFRPG.
However, I do keep joking about a potential fatty farm sim. Maybe someday? But I gotta finish one project at a time lol.
You could try merging that concept into this game in some capacity, just as a test.
to be truthful. I brought that up since a while ago I had a “brainstorm” for lack of a better term of like a sequal to the orginal game that had the player be a demigod but know having a physical body the weight has side affects and couldn’t go out adveturing so the management was more like. managing adventure parties that got you food and like using the fat gaining to improve a city or something forming around you. like spend 100 mass points to improve the farms or something to that affect. I just never shared since. well it felt like a dick move sharing “how” to build a sequel when one I am not a programmer and two its not my game universe
