And that power dynamic is major driver of this story!
Brenna is a chef on the palace’s payroll. Her employer is also her landlord. Based on that situation, the Corpulan royal family controls most aspects of her life. Like the other palace attendants, she’s on this system of assigned rations that’s completely controlled by the nobility (until control is given to you).
Annora, on the other hand, is one of two princesses of Corpula. She is in the line of succession, and wields the power of an entire Queendom. She wants food? She gets food, now. There are very few people in a position to halt her gluttonous desires considering her social status.
Oooh, all good then. If that’s the case then we don’t have a problem, we will just have to wait a bit.
I also have a question.
Would focusing on one story branch at the time (at update) make sense? I Mean, I’m not a drawer or a storywriter or anything, but focusing on one storyline sounds logical. It could also save time… I think.
Immediately after this text, I was sent to the main menu. I only played in 0.5.1 (not an old save file issue). Looking at this thread, I don’t think anyone has the same bug as me. How do I fix it?
Thanks for your question- the reason you are sent back to the main menu after that text is because that is the last line of the current version. It’s the end for right now!
I’ll be sure to add an “end of current content” notification for the next update. My apologies, I haven’t thought about this part of the game in a long time since I shifted my focus to building more content into the existing story.
Agreed, Gen is really lacking behind. But most of old, canon content is focused on Gen (like her trip to Maerwynn), so I hope she gets the most attention in the upcoming update.
It might seem heretical, but I honestly hope we’ll be able to help her fight the good fight, however successfully or unsuccessfully. Trying to help someone keep the pounds off in Annora’s court sounds like an incredibly fun challenge!
It’s definitely going to be a very different dynamic than it’s been with Annora and Brenna. Annora cares a little bit about getting fat mostly because she feels the security of her country depends on her successful marriage to the Emacian prince. Brenna pretty much throws any reservations about her weight to the wind when she finds out you like big girls. Genevieve, on the other hand, wants NO parts of getting fat. It’s definitely going to take some major changes to get Genevieve into fat acceptance.
Speaking of Genevieve, it’s worth noting I’m going to be re-writing the scene where Maerwynn casts an appetite-increase spell on Gen. I don’t like that Genevieve is subjected to something that she doesn’t want or consent to. My plan is when Gen seeks help from Maerwynn, Maerwynn will “cast a spell” on Gen to reduce her appetite, but the spell won’t do anything. Maerwynn will share with you that the only powers she has over weight are illusory. She can’t actively manipulate weight, appetite, or otherwise. But she hopes a little magical spectacle might have a placebo effect that helps Gen shed a couple pounds.
I liked Genevieve being tricked after being so unpleasant to her sister and the mc, but then again I understand that it’s a) not everyone’s cup of tea and b) not quite in character for her.
Well, it’s been a while since I last played, so I could have a wrong memory of her, but I think it would be hard to argue that she won’t eventually become suspicious of Maerwynn’s trickery. And the way things are, keeping her believing the lies would be key to keep her gaining. The mc isn’t stupid, nor is Maer, but I think outsmarting Gen in the long run is a bit above their capabilities, especially since Gen already doesn’t trust the mc too much.
So, I’m looking forward to seeing how her new storyline pans out
Yes, Genevieve is very intelligent and ambitious. At some point in the VN, I think the MC alludes to this. Basically, there’s no way you or anyone else is going to be able to fool Gen for very long.
Thank you! That is great to hear something I’m really going for is a compelling lore. It’s nowhere near where I want it to be yet but I feel like every update I introduce a little more.
Hello again! By having played the game on repeat for idk how many times, I just noticed a minor detail in the plot. When you choose to ‘Encourage Annora’s gluttony’ Brenna slims down (duh), but by doing so, she at one point also mentions that it’s actually nice that Annora is now bigger then her, while she continues to be slim. Thus it can be pressumed that Brenna actually wants Annora to get bigger and bigger because of her newly found arrogance (or jealousness). On the other hand, When you choose ‘Increase Brenna’s rations’, at the end of their pool meeting, Annora not only continues to gain weight (as already discussed), but there is also no arrogance from her. And that’s strange, because Annora is the princess afterall. She is used to being more important, better served, equiped and so on, and that gives her a reason to be arrogant and jealous.
So to summarize, Brenna is arrogant at Annora, but Annora is NOT arrogant at Brenna (atleast not angrily). I’m not saying that Brenna should lose her arrogance, far from it in fact, I just say that Annora should have it of her own.
By this offering a change in the story to go something like that:
depending onwho you choose to fatten up, the other girl will help you (or atleast won’t stop you) to fatten up the girl of your choise.
That sounds good to me because I like when one girl fatten the other up, the ‘victim’ notices, tries to do something about it, but fails ( because lacks self control).
However that’s an offer for a distant future. Would like to hear what others think, is that a good idea or no?
I think it is a good idea! As others have mentioned, as of right now, the Brenna ration path just feels overall better than the Annora path. The character interactions are better, more characters get fat, etc. I think a lot of that has to do with my writing maturing over the years of working on this VN.
Brenna’s route currently has more of my most recent writing while Annora’s path has some of the very first parts of the VN I wrote years ago. I’m hoping to improve Annora’s path with the coming update as I work more on content for the existing weight stages, including, but not limited to, enhancing Annora and Brenna’s interactions.
Thats okay, I like both parts and obvioisly you got better amd better, I kinda like Anora not being arrogant, not every character is the same after all. Can’t wait to see how your writing will improve Anoras path though!
Just wanted to give a small update as I’m doing some writing today. I’m going to intersperse some additional non-fetish world-building content with the next update.
I feel like so far, the VN is ~95% fetish content, ~5% non-fetish. I’d like it to be closer to an 85:15 ratio. Still very heavy on the stuff we all want, but with some non-fetish interactions in there to break things up. These sections will help further develop character backstories as you can see characters in contexts other than stuffing themselves.
I hope this is a change that will be welcome! It will definitely help me with telling the story of the VN.
