Vale City Arcade

I checked it out, but I’m not sure. The one thing that will absolutely get me to play this is: Are there anthro playables?

Closest to anthro this game gets is that one character has a TF into an anthro dragon. No idea how hard that is to get, but it’s probably “just” a super mode that lasts a few turns in combat. And in that form she’s chubby at best.

I’m hoping it’s not the final version and that we get some anthropomorphic playables in the future.

Given that this is the most anthro that this dev has put out, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I guess I’ll play something else, then. They clearly exist in the universe, and they can’t even make them playable?

He can’t even make THE GAME playable, heyo!

Can anyone know how to edited tournament point because when i edited it in https://www.saveeditonline.com
the points are gonna go to zero immediately

They upped the anti cheat a tremendous amount in this one compared to normal Vale City, saveeditor no longer works last time i recall

This dev is known for taking precautions to ensure the player doesn’t cheat. With their other game using an online editor resulted in the changes reverting back as well. The solution then was pulling up the actual game files and hand editing them.

Without it, the game isn’t even worth playing given how slow it is, and how much grinding you’d need to do.

Does anyone know where in the files the variable for the tournament points is stored?
Haven’t been able to find it anywhere in the data files.

“hey i know you’re here to jack off to fat girls but im gonna force you to grind a waste time because I need to feel validated and waste YOUR time. Also i’ll punish you for cheating because hate fun :0”

now that this game is complete I decided to look back at this and Vale city and…

does it feel silly looking at probably one of the higher quality projects for this community get lampooned because the guy likes rougelikes and wanted people to have a longevity goal rather than play it once then rip the files for all the images

Oh this game is completed? While I disagree with his design philosophy and found the game to be too complicated for me back when I tried it, I really respect how he actually made a finished product. Few can hold that claim. I hope he makes more games in the future and continues to improve his game making skills

from his own words it sounds like he is stepping back from making games at this point, and seeing how this thread (being almost entirely complains about lack of cheating ability, or bypassing it with all game questions promptly ignored) and the first vale city game was at times very mad they could not just…cheat to get around the mechanic of doing the game in cycles it feels like he is more disheartened to make another game rather than content with his creations and wanting to retire

People don’t like being told what they can and can’t do with a single-player game. They especially don’t like it when the alert that you’ve triggered the anti-cheat comes in a passive-aggressive message box saying “I don’t like cheaters” and deletes your saves like the previous game did.

Hate to say it, but most people aren’t here for a roguelike RPG, we’re here for a specific niche focus. We’re not looking for dark souls (at least most of us aren’t). Roguelikes have a balance they have to make between difficulty and reward. From what I’ve seen, there’s very little actual reward to justify the difficulty, so what does hardening the anti-cheat do for the game other than turn more people away?

If they want to move on and do development for other games not in the niche, then more power to them. I give them my best wishes and I’m sure the roguelike market would go for it. But to combine an already niche game genre with a further niche fetish is just looking to please a very small section of either fanbase.

I’d hardly call a message like “I don’t like cheaters” as passive aggressive unless you are already grasping at self respect, plus the guy is clearly not English primary considering the copious amounts of random misspellings and weird wordage in both games, like “hunger medicenment” and random cases of characters referring to themselves in both second and third person at random times.

you clearly are here for weight gain GAMES, not “easy games I can cheat at if they take more than 3 seconds to complete that have fat in them”

we already have far more niche game designs on this site that are far more ridiculous than what both vale city games outputted, I wonder where you get this assumption a game that was an homage to older games of that type and fetish (featuring Hara and Paulina) with a far more refined and FINISHED product would be considered “too niche”

in fact the channel advertising these games is still up: Futoru Bellies - YouTube

so please, try and justify the fact an anticheat and a game being a completed version of other older WG games in it’s genera that had an actual gameplay curve makes it “too niche” to be acceptable

final edit: here is a post of what actually happened to the creator of those previously mentioned games

It’s less the “I don’t like cheaters” message by itself and more the combination of it and the deletion of the files alongside it. It doesn’t need to be there. Different strokes, I suppose, but when a dev takes the time to put in and harden anti-cheat in a game with not a lot of content instead of putting in content, I take umbrage to it.

That’s a bit of an exaggeration, don’t you think? I’m not asking for three seconds, I’m asking for a reasonable amount of time given the content. There’s a difference between making a feature-rich game and padding a game out with grinding.

“Ridiculous” is not the problem, it’s a lack of reward for the effort and time the player puts in. If you have fun with it, fine. You do you. But a niche fetish combined with a niche game genre is going to be a hard sell for a lot of people, especially when it’s a heavy grind. On a side note, you’re seeming oddly defensive about this. I’m not attacking you or what you enjoy, I’m explaining why the game was going to be a hard sell.

First I never said it wasn’t “acceptable”. Where did you even get that? Second, there’s gameplay curves and gameplay cliffs. If you want that, that’s fine. Again, I never said people can’t have fun with it. This is just what I see as something that’s a niche within a niche so of course it’s gonna have people who are frustrated by it and want to circumvent the difficulty to try to get some enjoyment out of it.

My condolences to the family. Cancer is a terrible thing and it’s sad that they were driven to such lengths because of harassment, but what does this author have to do with vale-city or narukami92?

this part right here, the night club in the first vale city game has them both in it and the game loop was very much a completed version of that creator’s game design, right down to chocolate girls and belly, butt, boob RPS mechanics
