Witch of Gluttony

I played an RPGmaker game, where the author turned the page down button into a skip dialogue quickly button. It was made so whenever there was a question or something similar it wouldn’t do anything so that you didn’t accidently pick the wrong dialogue option. That should be mandatory for all these kind of games. It’s a life savior for any game with long dialogues, when there is a risk that you have to repeat them.

There are no choices to make during the Skeleton RP, so just holding enter/z will fast forward through everything,

Dialog skipping options would be a bit tough to do with a fight/event that can ultimately end in a game over/game close screen.

The Backhand dodging is incredibly annoying, even at a 5% evasion rate. I think I’ll just make the bosses have no evasion from now on.

That’s why the dialogue skip button shouldn’t be an action button, but only skip dialogue. That way the only way to end up in a game over is if you were already forced into a game over situation before you started skipping. It also gives the option of holding it down to fast forward through the dialogue at a speed of many text prompts per second, since the button itself indicates that you are not interested in the text and don’t need a normal delay between skips.

I’m aware. Doing that doesn’t change how many dialogue windows and canned animations I have to fast-forward through. It still takes a full five minutes to get from the start of the scene to after the dancer’s defeat.

I really didn’t think it was that bad. A little repetitive, sure, but it only took me two tries to beat them. Also, just want to say I really love the game now that I’m at it.

Here comes a quick April 1st patch for Witch of Gluttony!

  • Bella no longer gains levels via Gluttonous acts, she’s very health conscious now and will only level up when she sees people eating a balanced diet and working out.

  • Noss is now living up to her dwarven heritage: She’s 5 feet wide of full muscle and has a full beard that goes down to her feet. Very lore friendly now.

  • Ika will no longer use her gun as she has now taken up a pact of non violence. In combat she will try and persuade enemies to stop fighting using Snake language. Get ready for intense hissing action as you try to string together sentences in real time during a battle!

Hope you’re all ready for this amazing patch!

I’m glad this game recognises goblin supremacy… and sleep deprivation. I’m not that far in but the story is sweet, the idea of all the sins trying to enact their sins in an efficient, sustainable way like Wrath’s war with 0 deaths (except for poor ladder man :pensive:) is a good concept for the normally overused antagonistic-seven-deadly-sins in media

Also the references to other games on bookshelves like Apostles, Some Bullshit, etc are a nice touch lol

what to do when you have already done the cats, the basement, slime and the girls in the last update?

The requirements for that section are: Abandoned House (Slimes), Bar Basement (Rats), Rhaz Basement (Mimics), The Girls in the top right house. These will give you enough Cat treats for Rose which should start an event where you talk with Sloth and then leads into the first boss fight.

I’m sure that’s how it goes. Is it scary that it’s been so long that I almost forgot how it went?

Great game, just finished what there is too offer and I’m extremely excited to see what’s to come. I was so-so before I reached the Some Bullshit reference, after that it really hit me that this was one of the good ones.

I finished the maps(Base, I still have some plans for additional stuff for them) and am now alternating between eventing and making new sprites for NPCs and such.

Also Monster Hunter Rise got it’s claws into me which may or may not have been why there hasn’t been an update in over two weeks >.>

Monster hunter is a VERY DEEP Hole and it is hard to get out of.
