Games your Surprised hasn't had a mod

I feel like Palia would work really well with wg. Like you already go around gifting food to NPCs to make them like you, all you’d need is to have them gain after you feed them x times.

I know we have fatify for risk of rain 2, but what about a weight gain mod for risk of rain returns? I feel like, with it being 2d, it would be easier to mod for the weight gain community!

Terraria has like… one or two npc texture packs, and thats it. no proper mods or anything unfortunately.
But sometimes… you just gotta do it yourself.
Ive started on one a while ago and mechanics wise, is essentially done! I just gotta be bothered to do the actual art which iiis like, the main thing actually. So itll still take quite a while to get a reasonable build done.

I would love an obese Jade mod, especially if it applied to all her alternate costumes like the bunny suit or minerva outfit, it’d be equally cool to see one of Serena or Krystalinda even. I assume it hasn’t already been done because DQ is on the more nicher side and the models are quite high quality so it’d probably be difficult work, but I dunno I’m no modeller.

Steam Workshop::left 4 dead 2 bbw model i guess left 4 dead then

What about Wasteland 3? I haven’t seen a single mod that even adds to the character creator, or even changes regular models.

I’m pretty surprised Idol Manager doesn’t have any weight gain mods as well. It’s been discussed here multiple times but no one has committed to it.

For a game I’m surprised doesn’t have a WG or vore mod, it would defo have to be Cult of the Lamb. A few weeks ago, I had a dream about being accepted into what felt like this weird wg cult where we constantly get super high and eat fattening foods with the goal of getting bigger and heavier. Imagine a cult like that being possible in the game.

Tbh, I’m surprised that I haven’t heard of any mods at all of COTL, much less fetish ones (despite the fact that your followers can have poop fetish). Maybe the game just doesn’t support mods easily, or the developers made sure to code the game in such a way to make modding impossible, and that’s why I haven’t heard of COTL mods. Maybe it’s all just wishful thinking, but that dream I had of being in a WG-themed cult got some ideas brewing in me.

There’s mods for cult of the lamb. They’re mostly very simple and/or cheats.

in general for weight gain mods, there’s 3 that generally happen:

  1. There’s fat mods, which just requires sprite sheets for every fattened character.
  2. fat mods that unbind or add sliders and fat meshes/rigs. typically for 3d games. Rainworld is an exception.
  3. The elusive real weight gain mod, which requires not only fat graphics, but a laundry list of things for it to function. It’d require things like a variable/data for game to know how fat character is, modding in ways for character to gain (like items and effects and maybe from enemies) with possibly a variable/data of how it affects weight, and the ability to change graphics as weight does, to name a few. adding custom variables or updating graphics might be to difficult or noyon impossible to many games.
3 is rare because it’d (most likely be too different to common mods and require custom code and) require programming skill, require fat art, and interest in modding the game. Even if someone made a weight gain mod, they’d usually not post it where common mods are distributed (usually a link to a mediafire or dropbox download), making it harder to find.

They are not always going to end up taboo; it depends on how the WG functionality is presented. There are several WG mods for skyrim that have sat comfortably on Nexus because they didn’t have a clear fetish orientation in how WG was presented.

Compare WinterWeight to say RimRound or the WG mods for FO4 that don’t have that fetish-mechanic separation. WinterWeight has been more accessible thanks to not overtly pandering to the fetish, even though it can be paired with mods that DO. I like that separation because it makes getting compatibility between core functionality of WG mods and important non-WG mods much easier to facilitate.

But yes, WG mods are generally more complex when the base game doesn’t have a system that can be used to script it. That said, sometimes you can go overboard with graphically displaying fat in ways that are more complex than needed or end up fixated on designing new things rather than focusing on the compatibility of vanilla content.

i think the difference mostly shows up when the characters have more fetish-ish? proportions, rather than your common place slider proportion in most games

More games that can use a WG mod Planet Centauri could use something same as Star bound WG mod. Elin would be easy if you use RPG maker maybe? idk?, and Fields of Mistria would be fun to make a fat MC just some ideas.

@Rozalin

Today, I came across a very well made fetish game that is male-focus. I felt like it has potential to have mods because of the many characters in the game:

Another well made male-focus fetish game was tribal hunter but there is barely any modding in it. For some reason the male focus fetish games has the best looking games😭.

I’ve been waiting for chubby mods for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Remake has them for Tifa, Aerith, and Jessie on Nexus, at least.

I was hoping they’ll translate them over to Rebirth as well, but no luck yet.

You know what games i haven’t seen with wg or fat mods? the soul series. Either i’m blind or i can’t find any. I’ve seen some for Elden Ring, but none for Dark Souls and i know is possible to mod the soul games.

In the first two games you can modify the character proportions outside the normal ranges with Cheat Engine tables

Yeah, i know that is possible to change the sizes with Cheat engine, but IMO it doesn’t look that good and, don’t you can’t get banned in games for even having Cheat engine on your pc?.

I don’t believe so, having software that auto-scans your whole pc to check for cheat engine sounds like a disaster waiting to happen and also a really inefficient use of resources so I don’t think that’s a thing. The closest comparisons I can think of is the system CS2 uses where if it detects if you have any mods or files installed that are not normally a part of the game and prevents you from entering matchmaking until resolved. Or a game detecting if a external piece of software is changing part of the games internal values and does some kind of disciplinary action in response or something.

And on the subject of dark souls, if you wanted to use cheat engine to make yourself fat you could just… play it offline? While you do play with fire if you use mods or cheat engine stuff and you DO use multiplayer (Fromsoft is kinda notorious for going after people who use non gameplay mods rather than people that are actively malicious), there’s nothing stopping you from playing the games offline with the cheat engine values enabled. So unless you really want to play coop or do PVP while being chonky, that should solve your issues.

lol. yeah. thats me. I should return to it, i got some minor alterations and things im gonna add soon enough but im too autistic to focus for long. SMH
