Starbound Big Fatties Add-Ons - Expanding Clothes and other small additions

That would be very interesting! Instead of a morph ball you just press F to become immobile.

I don’t see why it would be impossible. RPG Growth adds several custom Techs with a variety of effects.

Ooookay, here it goes.

First of all, sorry for my extended absence, I was busy finishing my degree.

Second, I think I didn’t mention a change to the fat element: Both the erchius eye weapon and the erchius boss itself deal fattening type damage now. Thanks for the idea, @thekingofwaterandwin.

Third, I heeded the call and added the NPC tracker effect in all places I could find, so NPCs now plump up without further coaxing. A few other things have been fixed aswell.

Fourth, there are a few good suggestions here. The idea with the capsules from @Disguy is interesting. Normally, they just roll a loot table and spit out and item from that. It would be easy to add some fatty stuff to these loot tables. Doing more things would require a rewrite of their behavior as a whole, which isn’t hard, but not what I really want to do.
Generally I have to say though: This is a thread about my mods. General suggestions can be posted over here. Thank you.

Fifth and last, the clothing GUI is back, now with an integrated preview screen. The post up there has been updated accordingly. Have fun with it!

Might be too much to ask for, but could you make the new clothing UI compatible with Granular? If not it’s fine, you’ve done lovely work already and I am pleased with what we have as of now.

Will be done, no problem.

Ah, sorry if my comment sounded like a suggestion, it was moreso just me imagining how such a mod would work hypothetically. I’m really more interested in seeing what people make themselves rather than personally suggesting things, but interesting to hear that such a mod would be possible so thanks for that bit of info, then!

I can’t get the functional weight scale or the jelly slimes to work for some reason.

It would be nice if the jelly slimes dropped something, since I end up slaughtering them by the hundreds on some worlds. Probably BigFatties jelly liquid, or a random jelly from vanilla Starbound, with flavor possibly depending on color.

That would immediately fill the inventory tho, maybe one common flavour would be better and easier to handle in the inventory.

Then you could combine them with other things to get the other colours and flavours.

My idea was if jelly slimes dropped jams or food items, the probability would be similar to other rare creature drops, like living roots and static cells.

A different idea: instead of dropping an item, jelly slimes could spawn a small amount of the BF jelly liquid when they’re killed.

For the new expanding clothes gui. Anytime I remove clothing from the normal BF outfit slots, the outfit system breaks, and BF won’t apply the expanded outfits to the cosmetic slots until I completely reset the mod.

Have you clicked the “Save” button in the GUI? Sorry, I forgot to mention that above.
If it still happens, please PM me your log, and I’ll see what’s going wrong.

Saving the outfit isn’t not what I’m talking about. I can setup the outfits I want without issue. But, whenever I remove an armor piece from the original Big Fatties outfit slot, not the gui you added, that part of the mod becomes unresponsive. The cosmetic slots become unlocked and BF stops filling the slots with any expanded clothes or nude bodies. The only way to fix this is to reset BF by using the reset option in the top-right of the BF menu.

I’ve included the log for this, but it seems to happen incredibly reliably. Am I supposed to be using the new beta version BF with this?

Found & fixed. The steps you named couldn’t reproduce the issue, but the logs helped me find my goof. Try and see if things work with the new version.

Alright, looks like that update fixed it. Thanks! My bad on missing the Troubleshooting & Error Reporting section, sorry about that.

One other thing about the gui. I think it would be useful if the “Detect” button only filled in empty slots, rather than replacing the whole set. This way, you could mix what equipment you wear at different sizes by only swapping out the base size in the regular BF gui, rather than having to make and store all the different sizes.

What about the jelly slimes but a version that is the slime race? and they get smaller and smaller until they’re gone too

Is it possible to make an addon that adds armor that can apply fattening effects to you?

Yes. In fact, you can create armor that applies fattening effects even without making an entire new addon. For instance, someone on the forum has been creating commands to spawn items (including armor, iirc) over here.

Aye thanks for the shoutout!
